WHY DID JESUS COME to earth in the flesh AS A HUMAN?

Hey guys why did Jesus come to earth 2,000 years ago I mean we know that he didn’t just start to exist when Mary gave birth to him but he always existed for example we read in John 1 verse 1 in the beginning was the word meaning Jesus

And the Word was with God and the Word was God he was in the beginning with God all things were made through him and without him nothing was made that was made now there are also many other passages in scripture that clearly shows us that Jesus Christ was always there with God

The Father in the beginning but that’s not our focus on this video in this video we’re only going to focus on the question of why did Jesus come to earth 2,000 years ago and why did he come in the flesh as a human the answer to this

Question is far more important than you are I might even think and we need to know the answer so in this video that’s what we’re going to talk about let’s get to it All right so why was it important for Jesus Christ to come down to earth in the flesh as a human being well you might say well Daniel is because you had to come as the Messiah to die in our place so that we can be saved and yes

You’re right but there are also many other reasons and let me explain those reasons to you let’s start with the first one for representative obedience the first human Adam sinned against God he was disobedient and it brought sin into the world and they also separated us from God and to repair this

Relationship between us and God to restore it God sent Jesus Christ to come down to earth as a human to live a life without sin and Paul talks about this in Romans five verse 18 and he says therefore after one man’s offence judgment came to all men resulting in condemnation even so

Through one man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men resulting in justification of life for us by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners so also by one man’s obedience many will be made righteous so when you celebrate Christmas remember Christmas is not about Santa Claus or just getting

Presents but it’s about Jesus Christ that came down to earth to live a perfect pure life without sin so that he can carry your sins on the cross and die in your place so that you will be saved so that you can have eternal life

If you accept this gift and this is a gift a free gift to all men and women verse 19 says for as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners so also by one man’s obedience many will be made righteous and this is why Paul calls Jesus Christ the second Adam in 1

Corinthians 15 and call Adam first man and Christ the second man in 1 Corinthians 15 verse 47 so Jesus had to be a human to represent us and obey God perfectly without sin to be a substitute sacrifice if Jesus wasn’t human he could not have come and died in our place on

The cross he couldn’t have paid the price for our sins Hebrew 2 verse 17 says therefore in all things he had to be made like his brethren that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God to make propitiation for the sins of the people

For in that he himself has suffered being tempted he is able to aid those who are tempted God is just and to be able to save us he had to make Jesus in every way that we are so that he might become an acceptable sacrifice a substitute sacrifice so it is important

To know that if Jesus Christ was not fully human he couldn’t have died for our sins to be the one and only mediator between God and humans when sin came into the world we as humans were alienated from God and we needed somebody to bring us back to a

Healthy relationship with God and only Jesus Christ qualifies for that role the Bible says for there is one God and one mediator between God and men the man Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time so to be able to fulfill this role as

Mediator between God and humans we needed somebody to be both fully God and fully human and only Jesus Christ fulfills that role because Jesus is 100% God and 100% human now that might be hard for some people to understand but for humans of course it is impossible

But for God it is not to be our example in life Jesus Christ came down to earth to our example of how we should live our lives here on earth and our goal as true Christians should always be to be like Jesus Christ in 1 John 2 verse 6 he says

He who says he abides in him ought himself also to walk just as he walked do you really live your life according to the example that Jesus Christ left us Hebrews 12 says let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us and let us run with

Endurance the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith and Galatians 5 verse 1 says therefore be imitators of God as dear children and walk in love as Christ also has loved us and gave himself for us an offering and a

Sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma are you a sweet smelling aroma for other people does it feel great for other people to be around you if you sometimes struggle with this then just ask yourself what would Jesus Christ do in this situation right now the pattern for are redeemed bodies when Jesus

Christ died and then after three days when he rose from the grave he rose in a different body and Paul explains this in 1 Corinthians 15 and says Jesus rose in a body that was imperishable or spiritual body that is raised in glory and this new body that Jesus had is the

Pattern for what our bodies will look like one day when we are raised from the grave Jesus is the first fruit according to 1 Corinthians 15 verse 23 and in verse 49 it says and as we have borne the image of the man of dust we shall

Also bear the image of the heavenly man said Jesus had to be raised as a human being to be the firstborn of the Dead in Colossians 1 also talks about this in verse 17 and 18 by saying and he is before all things and in him all

Things consist and he is the head of the body the church who is the beginning listen to this the firstborn from the dead that in all things he may have preeminence to sympathize as high priest now Jesus went through a lotta pain and suffering while he was in Earth and if

He was not fully human he would not have experienced what we go through of our struggles Hebrews 2 verse 18 says for him that he himself has suffered being tempted he is able to aid those who are tempted and later in the end of chapter

4 it goes on by saying for we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses but was in all points tempted as we are yet without sin let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy

And find grace to help in the time of need to fulfill God’s promises God always keeps his promises everything around us always changed and that is uncertain but God never changed proverbs 30 verse 5 says every word of God is pure he is a shield to those who

Put their trust in him Jesus fulfilled around 300 prophecies from the Old Testament and some of these are very specific prophecies for example there’s over 20 GS within the 24 hours of Jesus’s crucifixion it was prophesized that Jesus would be deserted by his disciples that he would be falsely

Accused brutally beaten that he would not retaliate he would be executed with criminals his hands and feet would be pierced his bones would not be broken they would gambol for his clothes his mother would be a virgin the exact place of his birth now there’s a lot more but you get the

Point Jesus Christ is the only religious founder compared to other religious founders that could claim anything like this because God maybes promises hundreds of years before Jesus came down to earth as a human and they all came true and Jesus himself is the promise of the Messiah that would come from the

Line of David and come to save the world and Jesus himself said the thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy and I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly I am The Good Shepherd the

Good Shepherd gives his life for the Sheep and Jesus loves you so much that he died in your place he took all your sins on him as punishment and he suffered so that you don’t have to and all he asks is that your loving that you accept him as Lord and Savior

Of your life it is his gift to you and now you know why Jesus came to earth as a human in the flesh it is the biggest miracle that this world has ever seen and it has the power to save our lives remember God loves you and I love you

Too bye take my fear let it be consecrate Lord to thee

Let’s Learn about Jesus Christ; His humanity and His Divinity

Hello family this is pasta gideon if you are interested in the word of god you’re in the right place welcome to kfg know feed and grow on the world today we are going to do a little study on christ geologically it is known as christology is specifically the study of all things

Dealing with whom the person of christ is his divinity or godhood his humanity which has got a lot to do with his incarnation then his exaltation which has got to do with this resurrection and entrance some will include the works of christ which is also known as soteriology in theology

For the purpose of this discourse we shall only focus on his divinity and a bit of his exhortation also i have a video on trinity dealing with modalism so i will link it up up there or in the description or even at the end of the video so that if you want

To have a look at it you can go and look at it today’s focus is the divinity of the lord jesus but let me give you a summary of trinity trinity says there is one god and that one god exists eternally in three persons the father the son and the spirit

And each of the persons is god so the father is god the son is god and the spirit is god and together these three persons make up one god in perfect unity so in the christian concept of god jesus is god from eternity so someone asked me a question he said

If jesus is god and the same as the father why does the bible say that he is going to be exalted and everything is going to be put under his feet at the end of everything now let’s answer it the mistake in the question is that this person is thinking jesus is the

Same person as the father no jesus is not the father the father is not the spirit and the spirit is not the son these are three places that exist in their godhead each of them is fully god and yet they are one god in nature this is where man’s limitation in

Perceiving the concept of what comes in but that is why it is god it is a mystery to man man cannot oversimplify it or fully comprehend it now for more you can check the message on trinity that i’ve talked at the end of this video now to the divinity of jesus christ

Let’s look at the various names and tense and titles that is used to refer to the second person of the trinity the first one is christ now from an historic perspective christ is the term used specifically for the second person of the trinity when he became man and fulfilled the prophetic position of

The messiah in other words he was not a christ before incarnation christ is the transliteration from greek crystals to english christ after christ another name that is given to the second person of the trinity is the son of god it also refers to the specific time in

History when the second person of the trinity took on humanity both christ and the son of god refer to the same person in humanity and now continues on into eternity future because because it has now become parts of the natures of jesus christ if you got this you understand that the second

Person of the trinity was not always referred to as the christ or the son of god it was the incarnation that made it so when we say incarnation christianity it means that the second person of the trinity which is the word of god assumes human form in the person

Of jesus christ and he is fully divine and fully human now this is what you see in john chapter 1 1-3 when the bible says in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god it’s referring to the word of god that took on human nature

And became a man the bible said the same was in the beginning with god all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the

Father full of grace and truth now the only term that specifically refers to christ in eternity past is the word of god the word of god is the person that is also referred to as the second person of the godhead that is the attempt that applies from

Eternity it wasn’t given when he came to the earth in heaven he was known as the word of god in history there’s been a lot of debates regarding the matter of the son of god and even today that is the reason why we are doing this

Video there is a lot of contention about who jesus christ is in this discourse we will use the terms interchangeably the son of god christ jesus christ the word of god it refers to the same person now these contentions have gone on and on and on in three hundred and eighteen

Eighty there was an elder in alexandria called ariels he thought that christ was created by the father and thus he is human rather than god this was rejected by atanasius um and in three to five india the council of nicearianism was rejected but there’s been a lot of debates regarding

Jesus christ the passing hood of jesus christ the nature of jesus christ in church history and this led to a number of heresies some of the heresies or heretical views that came up concerning jesus christ were even named after the people that propounded them the first one is tritaism when you

Preach tritaism you are preaching trigons that is a heresy the next heresy is modalism or civilianism named after sibelius 217-220 a.d it says god is only one person who appears in different moves or rules this is what dr damina is preaching today if you don’t learn from history

You end up in the same churches as others fail now arianism we’ve talked about it arianism denies that jesus is fully god and he said that he has a created status and he’s below god then we have the citizen he says christ was fully god but only appeared to be human

So he was god he only appeared to be human wasn’t really human then we have nestorianism he said that they are not just two natures for christ but two persons then we have sabor the nationalism which is being preached by pastor ober subordinationism says that christ was essential in essence

Less than the father but not just functionally so he’s both essentially and functionally less than the father then we have monokianism he says jesus was only a power or influence from god then we have adoptionism adoptionism says jesus was a man who was adopted by god because of his powers

This is the final orthodox doctrinal position this is what is widely established from the word of god christ was hundred percent god while being hundred percent man he had all of his divine abilities but subjected them in human submission to their god head he had two natures and two wheels but

One person without confusion or full melding the divine nature and the human nature were not being confused or mingled together in a confused way now let’s deal with the divinity of christ as referred to us in scripture now the first point i want you to know is that

Christ is eternal this is technically different from saying he’s everlasting everlasting means that once something is brought into being it will never cease to exist but it cannot mean that something has always existed and would always exist it has no beginning or end revelation 21 verse 13 it says i am the

Alpha and the omega the first and the last the beginning and the end have you seen it colossians 176 and is before all the things he has no eternal beginning and eternal ended and in him all things hold together john 1 1 in the beginning

Was the word and the word was with god and the word was god he was in the beginning with god so if there is such a thing like a beginning he was there with god the second thing about the godhood of christ is that christ was active in creation

Colossians 150 says he is the image of the invisible god the firstborn of all creation for by him all things were created in heaven and on earth visible and invisible whether truths or dominions or rulers or authorities all things were created through him and for him

And he is before all things and in him all things hold together then john 1 3 says all things were made through him and without him was not anything made that was made he was active in creation now this is where some are saying it was through him that the father made all

Things so basically he was the channel through which creation came but he didn’t create anything listen the greek word in john 1 3 is dia and by the tear definition it means through referring to a place with in during by and by the means of now dia in king james

English has been translated over 228 times us by and 86 times as through and 95 times as four think about it so it’s it’s been translated more as bi than three or four the other thing you should know is that the reason is being translated more as

By is because by and through are synonymous in their certain range of meanings and without going deep into the contextual use of the ways it may confus you may confuse them when you say bye it may have two basic meanings a personal thing that causes something to happen or that causes something and

By can also mean through as in a means by which a thing happens for example hebrews 13 verse 11 the bible says for the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin are banned without the camp by here

By the high priest means the hype is actually that that bringing to the sanctuary do you get it he actually literally carries the animal to the sanctuary but in other usage it can also mean through like john chapter 10 verse one very very i see unto you he got entered not by the

Door into the sheep food but climb it up some other way they same is a teeth and a rubber so deer here by the door is through the door so you see by can be translated as by means of all through and it can also be translated as something that causes a

Thing to happen do you get it so to think that dire being using john 1 3 and john 10 can only mean through is erroneous if anything it shows that the second person of the trinity which is the word of god was active in creation

Now in colossians the word used is n in colossians 1 15 16 17 and is translated as in by or waste the problem is that many read the english bible thinking and is there exact equivalent in english in in english so anywhere you see and it should be in

Ua because you don’t understand that every word has a range of meanings and moving from one language to the other doesn’t mean the words correspond accordingly it is not like that it is not like that if you arrange i am a boy in english and translate it with corresponding greek

Words i for i am you may not get a valid sentence i hope you know that in greek e and n can be bi and that can also be by the context is what matters you learn this in ammunitics moving from one language to the other is

Not simply a word for word affair so learn that if you think that there’s an english and a greek weight equivalent it is not exactly like that let’s continue the third thing about the divinity of christ is that he also exercised divine authority to heal men and cast out demons like no other

The fourth thing is that he forgives him something that is the present of god christ also had a divine authority over nature i was telling water and when he was walking on water and christ also claimed to be god he said he was god in isaiah 42 verse 8 the bible said god

Said that he will give his glory to no one else yet jesus prayed in john 17 5. and now father glorify me in your own presence with the glory that i have with you before the world existed in exodus 3 14 god declares himself as jehovah when he says i am who

I am but when you come to john 8 58 crisis before abraham truly truly i said to you before abraham was i am he uses the words of god from the old testament now this resulted in the people picking up stones to true him but jesus hid himself

And went out of the temple they were ready to stone jesus for heresies you know why they recognized that christ was claiming to be god when he said before abraham was i am john 10 30. he said i and the father and one the jews picked up stones again to stone him

Jesus answered them i have shown you many good words from my father for which of them are you going to stone me the jews answered him it is not for a good way that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy because you being a man making yourself god so they

Understood when jesus said i am my father one he was making himself god do you get it now eight christ was the embodiment of the entire godhead in colossians it is recorded clearly for us 9 scripture refers to god and christ are the same person 10 their disciples

The apostles they recognized him as god john chapter 20 verse 28 thomas answered my lord and my god the disciples called he says they are gods they knew his claims and his actions confirmed that he was god romans 8 5 to them belonged their preachers and from their race according

To the flesh is christ who is god over all blessed forever amen paul clearly knew that christ was god titus 2 11 for the grace of god has appeared bringing salvation for all people training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled upright and godly

Life in the present age look at 13 waiting for our blessed hope the appearing of the glory of our great god and savior jesus so jesus is the great god that is going to be appearing 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify

Himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works so it is clear that christ is god the apostles knew they called him god he himself called himself and he claimed to be god and he did things like forgiveness and healing the sick and

Doing so many things that you cannot but think that this person is god why does he jesus christ being god still subordinate to the father equal and yet subordinates why is it like that it is because there is a divine order in the godhead divine order in the godhead

And it is led by the father so though all three persons of the godhead are of the same essence that is talking about their character and their quality in their interpersonal relationship the father is the head none of the persons is less than any in character or attribute but in roles and

Functions the father is heard and the son and the spirit placed subordinate rules to the father that is what you learn in their godhead as you study the scriptures if you say they are less than the father apart from their rules you are straining to one or more of the heresies we have

Mentioned earlier and it is contrary to scripture and if you should ask why should jesus be exalted at the end of everything and all his enemies kept under his feet and now he will be subject to the father it is because he took on actual human form and so was

Hundred percent goal and hundred percent man now this is not a gimmick it was real humility humbling oneself to be a man subject to all the freeties and weaknesses of men and yet was expected to obey god fully as the god man he had two natures

The god nature and the man nature and while on earth he was to humble himself to live as a man to fulfill all of the father’s dream which was leading to the saving of man now as a result he jesus christ was subject to things like bodily fatigue john chapter 4 verse

6 jesus christ was subject to their need for sleep matthew chapter 8 verse 24 jesus christ was subject to hunger he got angry jesus christ was subject to test john 19 28 jesus christ was subject to physical suffering and pain luke 22 44. jesus christ in his body life was

Capable of death first corinthians 15 yesterday now even had intellectual limitations jesus christ as a man was capable of increasing in knowledge luke chapter 2 verse 52 in his godhood which he had all together but subjected to his humanity so refused to put it into work he wouldn’t get angry wouldn’t get

Tested wouldn’t suffer he wouldn’t be able to die but as a man which is one of his nature now which is a part of him he could go through all of these weaknesses and phrases that all of us go through he was even capable of obtaining knowledge by observation

Mark chapter 11 verse 30 he looked and observed the tree now jesus christ was even capable of being restricted in knowledge mark chapter 13 verse 22 in fact he had more limitations living as a man not as god he even had spiritual limitations he was dependent upon prayer for power

If he was living as a man he didn’t need to pray to have power christ was dependent for power upon the anointing of the spirit acts after 10 38. all these were not necessary if he was just to live in his divinity do you get it philippians chapter 2 6-11 says who

Being in the form of god taught it not robbery to be equal with god but made himself of no reputation abuse so he he in his godhood subjected his god to his human nature and took upon him the form of a server and was made in the likeness of men

And being found in fashion as a man he humbled himself and became obedient unto death even the dead of the cross if he was walking in his divinity he wouldn’t be able to die wherefore god also has highly exhausted him and giving him a name which is above every name so you

See this in working in human nature he was subject to all the things that we are subject to and he could have gone astray but he didn’t bible says he was tempted in all points like we are yet he did not sin therefore he has been exhorted because

He has been there one man who has pleased the father in everything wherefore god also has highly exalted him and giving a name which is above every name that at the name of jesus every knee shall bow of peace in heaven this in earth and things under the earth

Hallelujah and that every tongue should confess that jesus christ is lord to the glory of god the father hallelujah do you get it i hope this makes a lot of sense to you so today jesus is the god man so today jesus is the god man

Exalted as god alone he already was the exhorted one but as the god man taking the human nature identifying with man he’s exhausted by going through all the rudiments that men go

Questions Jesus Asks – Where Divinity Meets Humanity

Hi I’m Israel Wayne I’m an author and Conference speaker my most recent book is called questions Jesus asks where Divinity meets Humanity it’s a followup to a previous book that I wrote with new Leaf press entitled questions God asks and this really came out of a Bible

Study that I was doing in the Old Testament initially and I noticed that there were many occasions in the Bible where God ask people questions and I thought this was rather intriguing and then I began to think about how in Jesus ministry was common for him to engage

People with probing questions in fact the very first time that we see Jesus speaking in the Bible in Luke 2 he’s 12 years old at the temple and he is asking questions of the teachers of the law Jesus often had the practice of answering questions that he was asked

With a question and this is a model that I find is really helpful for evangelism and apologetics as we engage with those who are skeptical or those who are uh critical regarding the Christian faith one of the things that I learned from writing the questions Jesus asks is how

Jesus questions tend to dig deeper than the surface they tend to go to the heart of the issue many of us have questions that we ask of God there are many questions that we have like where is God when it hurts or if God is good why is

There evil and suffering in the world but Jesus asks questions of us and these questions help us to assess our biases and assumptions and presuppositions these questions deal with a huge range of our human emotions and experiences things like suffering and pain and relationships and money and

Healing and so many other issues that are engaged in these questions that Jesus asks because these questions are contained in the Holy Scripture they have relevance not only for the people that Jesus asked 2000 years ago but they have relevance for us today one of the things that we learn from studying the

Questions that Jesus asks as we learn about him we learn about his nature and his character John 173 says this is eternal life that they may know you the only true God and Jesus Christ whom he has sent this is really our primary purpose for our existence is to know God

In Jesus Christ which is one of the main reasons why I wrote questions God asks and questions Jesus asks I want to know Jesus better and you can come to know Jesus better through this intensive study of the New Testament through the questions he asks many people in our day

Are looking for Hope Jesus questions show us that even though he was fully God he was also fully man and he experienced many of the same things that we experienced so we have a high priest who can identify with us who can relate to our suffering and to our struggles

This is a great comfort to us to know that in many of the issues that we face and that we go through in our life Jesus went through those same issues and those topics that are close and near to and dear to our heart are topics that are

Explored within the questions Jesus asks I hope that you will pick up a copy of this book and maybe use it as a family read aloud for Family Worship or just for your own individual Bible study or perhaps for a small group study I think you will be encouraged you will be

Educated and you will come to know Jesus better and know how to relate better uh to others and to love and serve other people better through this study thank you God bless you

Jesus is always human and divine

Hi I’m father Jim Martin I’m a Jesuit priest and author of Jesus a pilgrimage and I’m here with 10 things to know about Jesus Jesus is always fully human and fully divine now I know you probably know that the humanity and divinity of Jesus is an article of our Catholic

Faith but it’s an important to remember that Jesus wasn’t divine at some times and human and others in other words it’s not as if Jesus puts his divine hat on one day and his human hat on the next day it’s not as if he’s human when he’s working in the carpentry workshop in

Nazareth and divine when he is performing miracles no he is fully human and fully divine at all times sometimes I like to challenge people and say that Jesus is divine when he is sawing a piece of wood and he is human when he is stilling a storm healing the sick or

Raising someone from the dead it was hard for the disciples to understand this and it’s hard for us to understand it too it’s a real mystery but it’s essential for our faith to remember that Jesus is fully human and fully divine at all times I’m father Jim Martin author of Jesus a

Is Jesus Divine? 30% of “Evangelicals” Say No.

NICHOLS: You know, you’ve heard people say—I’ve heard people say all sorts of things about who Christ is. And in our State of Theology survey, one of the statements that we put on the survey directly gets at who Jesus Christ is.

And the statement is this: “Jesus was a great teacher, but he is not God”. Now, when we put that survey to the general U.S. population, 52%—that’s the majority—agree with that statement. That’s to say that the majority of Americans espouse a heretical view of the person of Christ.

And this is a truly crucial, essential doctrine, because the person of Christ is behind the work of Christ. When we’re talking about the work of Christ, we’re talking about the gospel. And without the true gospel, people are lost, and they are without hope in this world, and they are facing eternal damnation.

There could be nothing more important than getting the doctrine of the work and person of Christ right. And as this survey shows, there’s a lot of false understanding and confusion out there about who Christ is. But what’s even more tragic about this survey is that we put that same question to evangelicals.

Now, when you hear us use that term of “evangelicals” in this survey, let me explain to you what that means. It’s not someone just simply checking a box. We actually attached at the end of the survey four questions which have historically served as sort of a grid to identify evangelicals.

There’s a question regarding biblical authority; a question regarding the necessity of evangelism; there’s a statement regarding who Christ is and His atoning death on the cross; and then, fourthly, the exclusivity of Christ, that only faith in Christ can lead to salvation.

So, people who strongly affirm all four of those, they get considered “evangelicals.” We can pull that data out separately and analyze that. And here’s the tragedy. When it comes to that statement, “Jesus was a great teacher, but he was not God,”

Thirty percent, three out of 10, almost a third of evangelicals agree with that statement. So here are folks who want to say, “Yes, we must have the death of Christ in order to be saved. It is absolutely necessary for this work of Christ.”

But then they turn around, and they’re just so confused that they affirm a heretical view of who Christ is. What are we to do with this? What’s the takeaway? All of this underscores the importance of our studying the doctrine of Christology and teaching the doctrine of Christology.

We just can’t assume that folks sitting in our churches and the Christians we know and our family will just “get it” by osmosis. We have to be intentional and programmatic about teaching this cardinal doctrine. Because if this survey tells us anything, it tells us that we’ve got a lot of work

To be doing.

On the Function of Christ’s Human & Divine Natures in the Atonement

I was wondering if you could clear this up for me. So… argues that Christ’s suffering was equivalent to our eternal damnation on account of the infinite dignity of Christ. So he appeals to the divine nature of Christ and that absolves the issue. But earlier this morning you mentioned that when Christ experienced the

Loss of fellowship with the Father it was through his human nature and not the divine, and so what I’m having a difficult time understanding is how we can appeal to the divine nature of Jesus in order for the sacrifice to be sufficient, while denying that it is the involvement of his divine nature.

This is a tremendous subtlety of Chalcedonian orthodoxy concerning the two natures of Christ. And that is that there is only one person who Christ is, and that is a divine person. It is the second person of the Trinity. There is no

Human person who is Jesus of Nazareth. There is a divine person who has a human nature as well as a divine nature. So it’s not that in virtue of his divine nature that Christ makes atonement; it is that you have a divine person who in his

Human nature bears our sin and punishment, and it’s the person that is divine and is the one who suffers and dies and so forth for our sins, but he does so with respect to the human nature.

Jesus’ divinity and humanity

Foreign I want to go through a little bit of my testimony just because I I don’t recognize a lot of you I mean I recognize some of you some of you might know me some of you might know me as the guy that plays the guitar right that’s

Not who I am I’m a child of God and I have a story and I also have a lesson for you today and I actually want to take you kind of deep in the word this is uh not the milk this would be the meat this is something that requires

Faith for you to understand there’s teachings in the Bible that are called Mysteries and I think the reason they’re called Mysteries is because they require faith for you to understand you can’t analyze them through science you can’t analyze them through human reason and your intellect will do you no good okay

So but before I get to there my name is Jim I did 10 10 years four months in federal prison for manufacturing methamphetamine that’s who I was in the world in the world I was a dope cook I ran around sold drugs and destroyed people’s lives and myself and my family

And everything that was around me um uh the law got me they threw me in prison I dedicated myself to the word you know I tried to make all sorts of deals with God as you do when you’re locked up and you have nothing and you’re stuck and you try to make a

Bargain with them and you know I said you give me 10 years or less and I’ll serve you with all my heart he gave me 12. so now but that one I said you’re going to serve me for the twelve and the reason why I had to do

Such a long sentence was number one that I had a really hard heart and I had a lot of Pride and I know that all of us struggle with those things it’s just a natural thing I think that we’re born with pride even small children when you

Give them toys and they haven’t learned much yet they’re still just little kids and then they got two toys you know that’s my toys you know they’re greedy by Nature they’re prideful and and so that’s one thing that only the Holy Spirit can overcome in us okay it’s only

By Divine appointment It’s Only Life divine inspiration and the Holy Spirit and we can overcome those things but as I’m sitting in prison and I’m going to the chapel I had a buddy that was there in prison with me and he was a Mormon and he said

We go to church with me and he said yeah I said I take what I’ll go to church with you if you’ll go to church with me and I said you bet you know I’ll do that so we went to my church and we’re having a good time and had great things they’re

Pretty good for you enough you got to come to mind so I went to the Mormon service and I sat down and I had kind of long hair back then this was about 2 000 and my hair was a little bit long in prison you know and the Mormon looked at

Me you know in his black pants and his white shirt because they all work pretty much the same thing I’ve never noticed that but yeah there’s two you know that’s what they wear just like the guys in the bicycle anyway he looks at me and he goes to

Obviously you’re not a Mormon right and I know it wasn’t because of the clothes it was because of the hair you know and I said you know you’re right sir and so he said well I’m going to explain to you what we’re all about and so in 15 minutes he explained to me

From pre-mortal existence to the end of time and what the Mormons believe okay and I was just amazed I was blown away you know they were so formulated when I go to church I get a small piece of a puzzle and I take that small piece of

The puzzle back to the sale and I try to fit it in with all the other pieces that I’ve gathered and so I began to ponder why is it that my denomination or my church whether it just be Protestant is more Christian can’t do that same thing

For me so I began to study that with a real passion okay and that study is called Systematic Theology and if you know you went to Theologian school that’s what you would say it’s very technical and all that great stuff but it really doesn’t have any meaning but

Doesn’t have Jesus and the Holy Spirit in it so yeah there’s a lot of things you can do with the Bible you can you can destroy a lot of things with the Bible if you don’t have the spirit of God and so uh so I prayed earnestly and

I studied and I read and I study and I came across this teaching that I want to share with you okay and I came across the answer that I discovered which is the reason why you don’t get a lot of that today in church the whole

Picture so to speak is because there’s a lot of controversy about a lot of the Peace and and pastors don’t want to add even more confusion to confusion so that’s why you don’t get the whole picture a lot of times you’ll get enough of the picture the most important picture that

You need is a picture of Jesus and salvation amen right amen that’s if as long as you get that right you’re good all the other theologians can squabble about all the other details all they want but the teaching that I want to share with you the name of the teaching is called the

Two majors of Christ and the reason why the Holy Spirit led me to this is because once I grasped this teaching it really opened God’s word up to me about Jesus if it made me understand Jesus in a way that I didn’t understand him before not for confusion okay so if if

This teaching confuses you at all okay don’t listen to it if you don’t grasp it if you’re not ready for it it’s okay just ponder it a little bit just focus on Christ that’s our main thing so the the teaching is the two Natures of Christ

And we want to start in Isaiah chapter nine and you ask the people that like to read or the readers read my podcast what verse uh Isaiah chapter 9 verse 6. for to us a child is born to us the son is given and the government shall be

Upon his shoulder and his name Shall be Called wonderful counselor Mighty God Everlasting father Prince of Peace now obviously you can see from the scripture they’re talking about Jesus unto us a son is born and it shows the titles that Jesus carries and you either said Mighty

God is in there okay so what I want to really stress here is that Jesus is God nobody’s ever told you that if nobody’s ever said hey that Jesus is God that’s one of the first things that you’ve got to come to realize Jesus Is God he’s one

Of the three persons of the Trinity right another really deep teaching Trinity is a really really deep teaching but Jesus Is God okay he is divine some religious bodies uh say for example the Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t accept that Jesus is God they accept Jesus as a human being without a problem but they

Can’t accept them as God okay but the the scriptural proof that Jesus is God is undeniable I’ve only got like three scriptures to prove it but there’s I’ve got a list in here that’s like it’s huge it’s huge okay by the same token you can make the same mistake and not have Jesus

As a human okay and it’s very important that Jesus be divine and it’s very important that Jesus be human for many reasons number one he needs to be divine in order for his atonement to hold infinite power okay did you grasp that in other words ask God whatever he does because

Everything that God does is infinite he’s an infinite being hell is infinite Heaven is infinite he lives infinitely his knowledge is infinite everything about God is infant and so as as Jesus has gone when he does his atonement the power of that atonement is infinite you understand it’s not limited it’s not

Limited by anyone or anything okay so let’s look at one more scripture for Jesus’s Divinity uh Jeremiah 23 and 6 and then if we want we can read John 1 1 you know which is a New Testament scripture that and with 14 of course and then we’ll look at this Humanity

Someone got Jeremiah 23 and 60. in this days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely now this is his name by which we be called the Lord our righteousness all right there’s Jesus Jesus came from the tribe of Judah right and he was the Savior right and he

Was also God okay there’s several texts here I’ll read John 1 1 and 114 in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the word loves God so the question is well who’s the word right and I’m just saying well that’s that sounds great but that really confused me

I don’t know how many times I read that scripture in prison I read that John 1 1. I for a year I read that before God revealed what that meant to me right so let me join 14 with it in 14 it says and the Word was made flesh so the word is

Obviously Jesus and dwelt amongst us and we behold his glory the glory of the only begotten of the father will embraced and full of Truth so what I want to really emphasize here is the Divinity of Jesus that Jesus is holy God okay is he the father no there’s the

Father the Son and the Holy Spirit all of them are equal in power in essence okay I know that our human Minds when we think about that when we think about three persons in one being we’re like it’s too much for me so much you know the Jehovah’s Witnesses say it’s too

Much the unitarians say it’s too much I can’t handle that but there are many things that you’re going to discover about God if you can think about that you can try to rationalize and they’re not going to make sense why does God do Miracles why do I exist and stand here

Why do these millions of cells that are in my body choose to live together just the Miracle of Life that your body functions the way it is is a miracle beyond belief the way A Tree Grows is baffled Sciences for years okay they’re still looking at that so there’s a great

Many things that God does that require okay as a matter of fact everything that God does requires Faith every time you read in the scripture where there’s a miracle then Jesus says and your faith has made you whole wow you got any faith faith is that is

The substance from which we grasp God okay and so for us to truly understand that Jesus is divine that he is actually God requires Faith okay so let’s look at Jesus’s Humanity the first question is why is Jesus have to be a human why can’t he just be a spirit that looks

Like a human right and then when he suffers it don’t hurt and when they do all those things it doesn’t really affect him because there are religious denominations that believe that Jesus appeared that he was just an angel that appeared as a human being but it’s incorrect we know that Jesus was

Actually a human being he even refers to himself as the son of man right he cares the title Son of God which emphasizes his divinity and he also carries the title of the son of man which is his humility or Humanity John 8 40. let’s

Take a look at that one and then we have Matthew 26 28 I’ll grab that one Matthew is 26 28 and but now you seek to kill me a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God this is not what Abraham did now if you

Can’t accept somebody else’s testimony right which you know when I go to talk to people and they start to explain something to me and I start to listen to what they’re saying and I start to analyze what they’re telling me right the first thing that I have to consider

Is that they’re a human being right and that as a human being their ability to be honest sometimes is not what it should be right my ability to be honest with myself is sometimes hammering sometimes I tell lies I don’t even know why I told the LIE until I’m caught anything the

Guy’s just look hey check oh yeah well you’re right man I didn’t even realize I was like well this is the words of Jesus Jesus refers to himself as a man okay Jesus who is God is saying that he’s a man okay if we can’t take the testimony

Of man we can take the testimony of God Amen Matthew 26 26. 26-28 this is my blood of the New Covenant which ratifies the agreement and is being poured out for many for the Forgiveness of sins amen so okay if he’s just a spirit and he’s not made of flesh and blood

Right and how is he there’s no blood if he’s just a spirit there’s no blood okay and the reason that Jesus Christ must be human is because he’s making an atonement for the sins of the human race okay it talks about Jesus being the second Adam okay

What we mean is that as Adam was made perfect in the garden and sinned and brought a curse of sin upon all human beings so the second Adam which is Jesus Christ was also born of the flesh okay and brought atonement for us okay it’s by our faith in Jesus Christ in his

Shedding of the blood that we have the remission of sins so if he wasn’t really a human being how could he atone for the sins of human beings right how can a spirit atone for Humanity that wouldn’t make sense it wouldn’t equate in God’s justice right we serve a just God and if

A human being commits a sin or Humanity in general then by Humanity will that have to be justified so it was very important that Jesus be divine in his atonement and be human in his atonement otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to atone for our sins okay so so we see

That Jesus is both Divine and that he’s human but he’s not half human right and he’s not half divine he’s a man and he’s God all in one being here this is the mystery that’s hard for us to comprehend it comes back to the like the

Trinity we’re like man how can that be but we’re going to look at some scriptures where Jesus is going to speak from his human mind and where he’s going to speak from his Divine mind and you’re going to see that there’s times where Jesus Christ will speak and you’ll say he’s not God

And this is where a lot of Errors come in religious denominations but they say we can’t how could God say that right how could God make that statement because that statement is made by a human being and the answer is because Jesus is a human being and he does speak

Just like a man just like you just like me and sometimes he does say things right that would make you think well he can’t be God to say that and so let’s look at a few examples of Jesus speaking in humanity and speaking in his divinity

Okay and there’s even times and I didn’t go that far in his teachings I didn’t think he would have times time to do it where the human part of Jesus speaks of the Divine and the Divine speaks of the human but I don’t think we have time to go that far so

Um let’s go to mark 11. and there’s you know when I first grasp this teaching it was like wow that makes sense you know I mean I can make sense of why Jesus says this sometimes and this other times and there is no contradiction there’s no contradiction

In the word of God amen amen it’s invaluable it’s the book that has withstood the test of time and the scrutiny of every intellectual of every century without blemish okay Mark chapter 11 and we’ll start in verse 12 and we’re going to compare verse 12 with 11 20.

Okay so here’s Jesus right on the morrow then they were coming from Bethany Jesus was hungry so here’s Jesus he’s walking back from preaching and doing you know doing God’s work and he’s hungry obviously he’s a human right he’s hungry like we were before we had breakfast this morning

And seeing a fig tree afar off and it having leaves he came if happily now this is the King James version so yeah with you the terminology kind of is the first most we have an NIV right I started with the Contemporary English version yeah the sacred box of God you

Know the Ark of the Covenant the sacred walks of God very plain terms that’s what I needed at first having leaves he came if happy he might find anything there on and when he came to it he found nothing but leaves for the time of figs was not yet now

Here’s Jesus who’s hungry he sees a fig tree just like I would I’m gonna go grab me a fig a fig tree got leaves looks like I might have some tasty fruit okay now you’ll see that he gets to the tree and there’s no fruit now we know that God

Knows all things so why didn’t Jesus just you know tap into the Divinity you know I can check it out before he wasted all the energy to go over there and get mad at it right okay and and there’s some controversy as to why Jesus does this some people

Believe that Jesus chooses right to not use his Divine mind in certain instances to relate to our experiences okay he says that Jesus has uh not only bore infirmities but it was tempted in every way that we were tempted okay and so there’s certain times where and and I

Think that it’s pretty accurate to believe that that he actually shuts off his Divine mind and just operates in the human just goes with it right just like me and you in this case it gets to the tree and guess what there’s no figs so what does he do that’s right

And Jesus answered uh there was no fruit and Jesus answered and said unto it no man eat fruit of thee henceforth and his disciples heard it so Jesus curses the fig tree okay we read in chapter 20 right where the tree is withered so here we see Jesus demonstrating his divinity in that

He has the power and authority over nature that he tells a tree to die and it dies right he tells a man to rise up and live the man rises up and live whether it be spiritually dead or physically dead it doesn’t matter so we

See that in his Humanity Jesus goes to a fig tree and in his divinity he curses the tree that will produce the fruit for his Humanity amen amen kind of deep too deep for you guys all right let’s go to the next one Luke 22 42 22-42

Okay here’s Jesus in the garden right in this scripture right here baffled me for a long time when I first read this but the first uh I’ve been a Christian since uh 2000 so you know I it’s I’ve studied a lot that’s really really studied a lot

That and not that that makes me any better than anybody else sometimes after all this study I wish that I wish the Christian I was on the very second day was the day that I got saved man you know what I mean sometimes I wish I

Could just go back and just make it like that sometimes I think that the more I know the worse off I am but that’s not the case it actually brings us closer to Christ but there’s something that that childlike love when you have across from the very beginning it’s a very very

Special time amen and it was for me anyway on my face uh so here we go we got Luke 22 42. and this is the words of Jesus and he’s in the garden and he’s praying he’s about to be crucified and he knows what’s coming right and he says father

If thou be willing remove this cup from me nonetheless not my will but die will be done okay we can see where Jesus speaking in his Humanity right and in his prayer and in his Union with the father is asking just like we do some days right I’ve had days like that you

Had days like that where you say God man just don’t let me go through this I can’t handle it you know don’t let me get divorced don’t let you know me lose my job uh my finances are a mess or anything physical that we experience whether it be an ailment or pain you

Know your back is thrown out whatever I don’t know how many times in my life especially being in prison I say God and can you just let this cup pass just let it slide by just let me sneak through you know and I didn’t put the put as your will on

The end though most of us don’t most of us just pray for what we want but let your will done let your will be done part doesn’t come till way later when we’ve matured as a Christian and we really trust God you know when we really really have faith in

Him and we’re walking in that Faith right and that’s a growing that’s a growing thing but that in my Humanity I’m asked just like Jesus you know what God just take this away from you just don’t let me experience this right and God says you know what my will stands

You will pass through the fire and you will pass unscathed or you’ll pass through the fire and you’ll experience what I wanted you to experience then you’ll learn what I want you to learn that that’s my job as their father is to teach you all things okay so here we see Jesus

As a human he’s down on his knees and he’s praying to God just like we do and he’s asking God to prevent the tragic things that happen in life from happening to him if it’s possible so let’s look at 11 20 now same oh I’m sorry I’m sorry

Let’s look at John 18 36 sorry about that John 18 36. Jesus answers now this is where Jesus is being questioned by Pontius Pilate and and I think that this particular scriptures only found in John but for sure anyway so Jesus is giving an answer as to who he is okay conscious

Mind says well who are you you know and he says my kingdom is not of this world if my kingdom were of this world then would not my servants fight that I should not be delivered to the Jews but now is my kingdom not from hence in

Other words what Jesus is saying is I’m not from this world I’m from heaven right that’s where I came from if if my people were here right now they would smash you like it’s done in heaven but I’m not from this Kingdom so we see Jesus saying in his divinity I’m Divine

I’m a Divine being that was sent here right and as my mission is not to fight you there’s another scripture and I think that it’s also in John where he says that no Authority was given unto you unless it was given by my father right Pontius Pilate tells him hey don’t you

Know that I have the power to have you killed or let you live and Jesus says you know what you don’t have anything on me you don’t have anything that wasn’t given by my father who my trust completely right so we see that Jesus speaks in the humanity just like you and

Me and he speaks in his divinity okay so one more I got one more for you Matthew chapter 4 verse 1. I think okay so here we are and Jesus is being tempted by the devil okay I I don’t know about you guys but when you first read

The Bible right and you said okay Jesus is gone right well then what’s the devil doing there right what does God and the devil have to do with each other and Jesus is really God why is the devil there tempting and that’s just not possible everybody knows that the

Picking order in Heaven Is God angels and demons humans so this provides logic but the reason is because Jesus must be tempted because he’s in his Humanity now whether the devil knows that Jesus is being a God or not I don’t know I’ve never really answered that question I’ve never really

Pursued that question in the Bible to find out but I’ve always thought that he didn’t or I don’t think the devil would be there I don’t think the devil would waste his time he would have died before Dr cross yeah yeah so um so here’s Jesus and let’s read

Starting one then when Jesus was left in the spirit Into the Wilderness to be tempted by the devil and he had fasted 40 days and 40 nights and the temperature came to him and said that if you’re the Son of God command these stones to be made bread so here we see

That just like you and me right Jesus and his humanity is being tempted by the devil and you’re going to experience this if you don’t know this or I know you know this already but you have an enemy the word declares that there is opposition

Stand for to what you believe in to all that you’re about and that enemy is the devil okay and he’s come to kill steal and destroy I know that you guys have heard that okay but just as Jesus was tempted so you’re tempted in your Humanity okay and in your Divinity in

Other words if you truly possess the Holy Spirit don’t we also share in Christ in the fact that not that we’re God I would never claim that but that we have a peace of God in us and that we are clothed in humanity and that we share more with Jesus than we thought

That yes sometimes we speak like a man sometimes we speak the word of God huh amen and sometimes in our infirmities we cry out and let this cup pass and sometimes in our divine strength we say we’re not from this Kingdom right that we’re from the kingdom of God okay okay

I want to read one more scripture dear I can’t see the clock so I didn’t bring my watch all right you got 20 minutes 20 minutes uh let’s go to John 18 and 4. you know all those 10 years in prison I got stuck on the gospels I literally was

In the gospel for like 10 years I just couldn’t get out of the gospels I couldn’t get to the Epistles I couldn’t I mean I did a lot of Correspondence courses through the mail and uh so like they sent me the uh Old Testament you know two-year old

Testament study so I did the two year old testament study and I did the two-year New Testament study and I just kept getting drawn back to the gospels especially John I don’t know what it is about the Gospel of John but when I was a man it’s all that

All right eighteen and four Jesus therefore knowing all things that should come upon him went forth and said unto them whom seek ye okay so here’s Jesus in his human form right Jesus is a man using his divinity to know all things okay so so this is where we differ with

Jesus okay there there’s a lot of things that you’re going to read in the word of God and you’re going to say you know what I’m just like Jesus right and it’s Humanity I’m just like Jesus and and his divinity sometimes I’m just like Jesus sometimes I can be super

Spiritual sometimes I can be filled with the Holy Spirit and I’ll get pumped up and I’ll pray and I’ll share I’ll get the word in me and I’ll go out and God will send someone to me and they’ll say something and I’ll know exactly what to

Say I’ll know that God wants to speak through me wants to speak life into this person right then and there I don’t know how many times it I went to the Walmart right by my house right around 40th and Thomas and there’s a Walmart right there

And there right this big this guy from our church and he’s sick I mean he’s sick sick he’s and he’s trying to work in the Walmart is the greatest they say him not to be the greeter in the sick but it’s okay it was in my appointment

Amen that’s where he was supposed to stand or I wouldn’t have found him in the Walmart so he’s standing there now remember what’s up I’ve been sick for two weeks I spent all my money on the doctor you know I said man let me pray with you so

I prayed with him I went into Walmart I did my shopping and God said you know what you need to give him some money the prayer was great fantastic idea however that’s not what he needs right he needs money he just spent all his money on the doctors he

Told you that hello wake up McFly you know me and my wife blessed him with some money right and so there’s there’s times where those Divine appointments we share with Jesus and we have to recognize those and we have to recognize our Humanity right just like Jesus okay uh

So we got one more that joins with that scripture okay Jesus whom do you seek and they answered him Jesus of Nazareth and Jesus said unto them I am he okay this this particular passage in scripture but let me finish the reading and then I’ll uh and Judas

Also which betrayed him stood with them as soon as he had said unto them I am he then all the people around fell backwards to the ground okay this particular piece of scripture is where Jesus is talking about his divinity a matter of fact he is emphasizing his divinity in a way that

Is causing a physical reaction that the people that are around him because of the command when he’s saying I am God I am he I am who I am I am the I am I am Yahweh that the people fell down so here we see Jesus using his authority right to not

Only demonstrate that his humanity is ineffective he’s a human being but that he’s also a Divine it is also Divine uh everybody fell down this particular passage of scripture is all and it’s only in John when you read it you’re like wow you know Jesus they come up to

Arrest Jesus and you Jesus I am and everybody falls down what a great passage I think this has an authority you know I keep trying but it doesn’t work for me I know nobody Falls can you repeat that passage please okay I’ll read it the address uh 18 uh John 18.

And starting in four okay so it’s four fives and six seven four five and six the reason that I share this particular teaching right is because you’re going to encounter people that have a different view okay and they’re going to come to you and I used to debate

Um with the Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Mormons in prison just because they were lost souls you know and they were like the hardest ones to get so I went after the hardest one I said God sent me after the hardest ones and God said go to the Jehovah’s Witness for a little while

Right okay and that’s an experience let me tell you because you know what no religious body equips their people to defend against you than any other denomination most people that aren’t experienced will go with them and they’ll get chewed up you’ll come out of there and you’ll be

Feeling raggling it’s like man I gotta go study some more this guy just ate me up right but what you need to understand for yourself not the ear do after the Jehovah’s Witnesses and I found out later that really wasn’t the way to go I mean I did it very softly you know

Because these were my friends I told them look let’s have a Bible study together I said okay so we all brought our Bibles you know they brought their New World Translation and I brought my Bible and we came to an agreement that we were using the same book but we

Didn’t come to the same conclusion right and so I got to the point I said okay well okay well we’re using the same book but we don’t have the same conclusion so we need to come to a conclusion about who Jesus is that’s the only thing that

I really focused on because I figured if they just got the Jesus was God then everything else would fall into play and so I said okay I tell you what uh this week you bring the scriptures that you tell me that Jesus isn’t God and then

Next week I’ll bring the lunch so they brought theirs and I listened to it I said very interesting it’s very interesting and you know I’ll have mine actually they never showed up again but anyway the reason that I share this is so that number one you’ll have a

Deeper relationship with Jesus knew his word that when you read his word and when he says something right it doesn’t sound Divine don’t be surprised okay because Jesus is a man right he’s a man just like you just like me the one exception that you might find to that is

That you know the Holy Spirit on his conception it says that the Holy Spirit hovered around his conception so whether he had a sin nature or not is kind of debatable you know if in order for him to be the first Adam I would think that

He would have to have been like Adam without that sin nature you know that it would be like that but that he’s a human being just like you and me and there’s going to be times where he speaks in his humanity and then there’s going to be

Times where he speaks in his divinity and if you don’t have a good balance of that right if you don’t have a good balance of that then you’re going to fall into one of these calls and that’s where these Cults are going to come at

You from they’re going to come at you I had a guy in prison I don’t remember what denomination but he come to me and he says hey you clean the train I suggest I do he said can you explain it to me I said well certainly I

Can so I began to expound on the Trinity for him and he started hackling me and I said you know hold up did you really want to understand this or are you just trying to bash me you know and he said and he wasn’t the same sky in the world

But he said uh well he said you know at the Jordan River when Jesus is baptized if Jesus Is God what is he Evangelical sin because who’s that voice in heaven I said I said no that that’s the Trinity that they’re all three there there’s Jesus in the water the holy spirit’s

Coming down to the father’s and what better example do you need of this tell me that you know but he was quite a character so you should have a good balance of of Jesus as humanity and a good balance of Jesus Divinity there’s even other scriptures where it talks

About the blood of God all right we’ll come across that wow how can God have blood God can’t but Jesus did and Jesus was God Amen and so when when you read your word and and I assume that all of us read some of the gospels right are we all official people

I’m gonna have still stuck in the gospel it’s like I’m here later it’s good news it’s all there when you’re in the gospels and you’re reading about Jesus and Jesus is speaking when you hit those red letters right you get those red letters okay think to

Yourself okay Jesus is a man and Jesus Is God and he’s both people and one being and that he can speak from his human human mind and he can speak from his Divine mind that he can speak from his human consciousness and that he can speak from his Divine Consciousness and

That he can even speak from his Divine towards his humanity and his Humanity towards his new Divine and at that point it gets a little crazy you know but in us and likewise we also are human being and as born-again Christians we are also Divine we’re not

God and we can never throw the thrill of God obviously but we have the Holy Spirit in us and so there’s times in your life and in my life where we’ll come to a situation and no matter how spiritual we’ve been the week before no matter how much we’ve prayed and you

Know done all the stuff that we come up and something snaps in us and we speak in our humanity and you know what all we can do in those instances is repent and say you know what God I don’t want to be like that I want to

Be more like Jesus give me more of the Divine Right give me more of the Divine all right and there’s going to be times where you have a Divine appointment and you’ll roll up somewhere and God will speak nice and clear to you and tell you

What to do right and then you’ll find that you’re also human and that you’re also a divine sometimes you’ll speak from your human mind sometimes from your Divine sometimes you’ll speak from your Humanity about your Divinity and sometimes from your Divinity about your experience but that you’re just like Jesus amen

Amen any questions too deep okay that was awesome yes brother and when I was in federal prison I had to be a threatened too long sometimes when they’re running around saying alive yeah I mean not everybody was supposed to have guidance but these guys were trying to teach that we were little guys

That was like you know yeah I mean yeah um basically the way that they get away from that scripture in John 1 1 right is that they don’t capitalize the G okay and and the and and how that came about was when they when they translated the New World Translation the scholars that

Did that were not authorized to do that and that’s why it is printed by the Jehovah’s Witnesses people you know the Watchtower publication company and all that because they don’t have they wouldn’t have any other sponsors but basically you can change one letter in one of the Greek

Words and give it a totally different meaning totally different meaning from meaning of the same Essence to meaning a mix of something right and if you’re curious about that particular word I’ll pull it I I got that it’s in my study I have a big old thing if you want the whole

Thing of it I’ve got a huge bigger one it’s called a summary of Christian doctrine it’ll kind of give you a little overview of some of the the names of Christ and of what you know what his titles hold and what they mean and about some errors about that particular what

You’re talking about whether the word god should have a capital letter or a small letter and it all revolves off of one letter the letter i that they insert in the Greek word okay very crazy the biggest problem I had as a Christian in prison was this this they had this they

Have this saying in prison I don’t know if they got a mistake or if they had it in the beds basically a couple places I were at if you’re weak or if you’re scared go to church yeah so I had to deal with that the whole time you know I

Mean you know it’s like hey you know I’m just trying to and then once somebody’s family member was sick guess what they’d come and ask me to pray for them it’s okay though yeah yeah this was a just awesome teaching by the way um I read I think every time I read it

I go man that doesn’t really sound like Jesus is when the syrup Phoenician woman yes um wakes him up and he says why would I give right what’s meant to be at the king’s table the dogs and I’m like you know you know Jesus is Love man you know he just loves

Everybody you know we you know and so for me to read that with my mind I was like dick you know so I I’m trying to find it I can’t find it for the life of me but um at any anyways my knee says that and she says

Even the dogs eat from the scratch on the table yeah she just fires right back and I’m just saying hey even the even the little dogs eat the eat the scraps from the King stable kind of thing but I think that’s the one thing because I can

Say okay well he cursed the Fig Tree yeah he was hungry and he didn’t get what he wanted and he said you’re not getting no one will look from you and then um he uh had righteous indignation um which is Justified anger when he went and cleansed the temple right of the

Money changers and everything like that but but I mean you just straight up called this lady what he was calling there was a a gentile there you go so that you know I don’t know received any Revelation on that particular message no but you know what there’s a book lightness

You got a response yeah I actually do okay the significance seems to be for one thing that God’s a covenant God and um it’s a big deal because in this situation This Woman’s got no rights we’re talking about rights and privileges right we’re we’re seated at

The right hand of Christ right now we have rights and privileges we may not take advantage of them we may not realize them but you know the spiritual credit card in your wallet that’s Limitless it’s Limitless on getting everything you want to need if it’s in

Line with God’s word right we may not take advantage of it we may not use it we may not think about it in this case she had she didn’t have the credit card she didn’t have the perk she didn’t have the plan she couldn’t and she couldn’t sign herself up

She was outside of the will of God at that moment and and God for whatever reason allowed her to kind of like still humiliate herself or humble herself and still press in by faith and she’s one of the she’s like one of the first examples of someone who crossed as they say she

Crossed the line by the grace of God the God said I’m sorry but little dogs don’t get what my children get yeah and she’s like yeah the little dog still get to eat from the crumbs of that counter drop and he’s like you know what woman and you are stubborn you trust you

Acknowledge who I am you’re in and that was a big deal so that’s that seems to be was you as a gentile yeah and so was the Centurion he’s the Roman yeah and it was just too totally different reactions from Jesus yeah one was I’ve been seeing

Faith like this in all of Israel and Jesus marveled at him which and it’s a good thing when Jesus Marvels at you right yeah amen and then the other one was like broad get out of here you know what are you thinking yeah Jesus sees the heart of it yeah but he still

Humbled herself there’s a really good book uh it’s by a guy named FF Bruce it’s called the hard Saints of Jesus and it hits all of those you ever read that Tom man that’s a hard book right there it’s a really good book If you ever you could probably even PDF

It online but you know when he’s talking it’s a spirit though so you know when whenever you talk harshly or turn over tables and as simple because the people were you know selling some and all that people they love the principality that they right you know so that’s why when

You see it’s harsh words and my brothers there’s a time and place for everything yeah there’s nothing wrong with being angry uh the principality and as long as you as long as you you get it out but you know again it’s a word you choose

And as long as they’re uh out of love and it’s biblically directing us where you know there is something wrong with the Rage of course but yeah there’s again there’s there’s a time for that and that’s what’s so interesting we picture Jesus as a loving awesome you know kind of just just

Walking along and not in Beauty and Grace where she was but there’s also the that’s that lion and lamb too yeah that lion needs to come out once in a while so there was a time when the Bible was being formulated right and this is an iniquity and there’s a guy called

Marciano Marcel and marcion didn’t like the god of the Old Testament right but he liked the Jesus guy so he just kind of cut out all the mean stuff about Jesus and just left all the good fluffy stuff and made his own Bible and started

His own set yeah I mean and uh that’s what led to them formulating what’s in the Cannons or the Bible what it is today to prevent people from doing that from cutting out God’s justice in God’s commandment against sin and his demand for righteousness and just holding on to

His love and all the easy fluffy stuff you know so there’s definitely you know Jesus not that he ever sinned but there are times where Jesus had to draw a hard line too and then there’s times where his compassion is overwhelming you know where where he’ll say why don’t uh the

One without sin till the first time the great thing about it is he always will give us an escape yes so uh whenever you tip it don’t feel guilty or shameful just just listen to our god that tells you to go to yeah brother in the back did you have

Something you wanted to add I seen your hand up well I was gonna say uh Paul Paul always said you know the gospel is for the Jew first and then to the gym you know so Christ came to Israel first and uh and then it was after that that you know it was

It was given to us you know uh and the woman as well you know she wasn’t part of Israel and and actually when the disciples came back and saw Jesus sitting under well and talking to this woman they were like what are you doing talking to him you know what or

What what are you doing talking to her right you know what and because her people in Israel didn’t have anything to do with each other you know so there’s a lot there that you can find that would explain that you know it was like he’s staying at home

You know you call him a lady a dog well that’s you know it’s a Humanity in Christ and Christ being Jew talked to this woman but it actually it actually brings about the documents to the Gentiles it’s like um I forget where it was but Jesus called it too PR you name

Two people that were saved in the Old Testament and and the Pharisees were offended that he brought up these two names with us because they were gentile people back in the Old Testament you know what I’m talking about the right now Jesus was talking and he was saying how

Look back in this day the woman was visited by the prophet that had nothing to eat Elisha visited this one the name of the leopard was field and these were the only two that God had named last year that’s you know he just brings the gospel full round to not only until he’s

Used within 10 towels as well and he does that yeah his Humanity speaks any other questions uh I want to thank you Brothers for letting me share I’m sorry I’m not here every Saturday I work on Saturday mornings I work from seven to noon at a busy little Garage in Tempe

Uh working on cars and getting drinks and all that fun stuff these days yeah hey man but I’ll try to get here as much as I can you know I’d love to spend time and get to know some of you guys better I know most of you

But not all of you some kind of new basis and uh you know thanks for letting me share with you and I hope that that opens up God’s word a little bit to you that when you read the red red lettering in the Bible if you have read that

Arrival then you’ll hear Jesus speaking you know and with a little more depth and I hope that you’re a little more confident to stand behind the truth that Jesus is God and that Jesus is a human being amen amen that’s great thanks Jim thank you

The Nature of Jesus – The Divine/Human Nature of Christ

This one this morning when you were supposed to get the other one so uh those of you who do not have um the nature of christ as related to the nature of man that’s what we’re giving out this time and if you did not get the one that we did this morning which

That was the nature of sin let me know as well and i still have some available uh for you but we want to make sure everybody has this study that we’ll be looking at this afternoon on the nature of christ as we know this is once again a another hot button issue

Within seven day adventism what kind of nature did jesus have did he have the nature of christ or rather the nature of adam before the fall or did he have the nature of adam after the fall and and uh we know that much revolves around this ellen white tells us that

The the nature the humanity of christ means everything to us the humanity of christ means everything to us and it is the golden link which connects our souls to heaven jesus the fact that he came not as god but he came as a human being

In the form of a human being and in having taken the likeness bible says of what kind of flesh sinful flesh in the likeness of sinful flesh we’re going to start out trusting that everybody’s received it we’re going to start out we’re not going to obviously go through each of these and

At the end of this session i also want to give opportunity for questions and answers that you may have um but we’re going to start out we’re not going to go through every single one but the first section is what was the nature of man at creation now this is more or less

Basic foundational uh we know that god created man how in his own image in the image of god created he him male and female created he them this is an incredible advantage that god has given us the fact that we were made in god’s own likeness

In the book sons and daughters of god the very first page is a very powerful statement there sons and daughters of god page one it says that human beings were a new and distinct order of beings you know and and it’s interesting because in genesis chapter 2 we find that the record says

In verse 1 the heavens thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them so if i’m understanding this correctly human beings were were the crowning act of god’s creation this was the last stop you and me when we were created

And he said we we’re going to make this order of being new and distinct from every other order of being that we’ve made we’re going to make him in our own likeness then she says he alone is made is is capable of partaking of the divine nature you didn’t get that

It said he alone is made capable of partaking of the divine nature what kind of nature does god have what is that what what is divine nature what what consists of the divine nature all knowing right he’s all omniscient what else is part of god’s omnipresent everywhere present he’s he’s in contact

With all of the areas of his vast creation what else pure he’s righteous holy what else he’s omnipotent and omnipotent all power unlimited power so god is telling us that he made us capable of being a sharer in those things are you starting to get this hallelujah i’m serious

It almost sounds like heresy right i mean if it weren’t for the the servant of the lord saying that i’d say it is heresy but god said it and i believe it steps to christ 17 man was originally endowed with noble powers and a well-balanced mind he was perfect in his being

And in harmony with god his thoughts were pure his aims holy 8mr 39 he was furnished with what kind of nature holy nature what else sinless what else pure and undefiled now we we found out this morning that once adam fell he could no longer pass to his posterity

What he no longer possessed and what is that a holy nature sinless so this should forever settle in our minds the the notion because i’m telling you brothers and sisters there may not be anybody here today that believes this but i have talked to a number of seven-day adventists who believe somehow

That infants are born sinless and somehow they don’t become sinful until they make a choice to sin that’s not that’s not what god says you know the bible says we are all as in what unclean thing and all our righteousnesses are filthy rags that’s not even talking about the bad

Deeds that’s that’s your good deeds are like filthy rags and if you go and look at what isaiah is actually saying there in that text it’s talking about women’s menstrual rags and they didn’t have tampons back then so those rags were just good enough to do what with them throw them away

One time use that’s how our good works are in god’s sight see and then job tells us who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean see so it’s impossible by the very nature of the laws that are in operation since creation for adam to have anyone come down line from him

Now that he has fallen being sinless impossible see the only way you and i can attain to sinlessness is by faith in christ jesus he says that’s why in fact let’s go to john chapter three and see something very significant that jesus is saying on this subject because

We need to make sure that we understand these foundational principles of the plan of salvation in john chapter 3 jesus is having this conversation with a church leader and he tells him you should know these things you mean you’re a teacher in israel and you don’t know these things and he tells him

In verse 5 verily verily i say unto you except a man be what born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of god that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit and what is jesus saying there

When you’re born the first time you’re born of the flesh isn’t that right when you’re born the first time you are not born of the spirit otherwise you wouldn’t need to be born again right there’s nobody born of the spirit but one person and who was that jesus christ conceived

Of the holy ghost see so jesus didn’t need to be born again we do isn’t that right we every man he said except a man be born again there’s no exceptions to this now it doesn’t it doesn’t forego the fact that those who may be born into a godly family

They’re going to have some advantages isn’t that right with the mother and father have devoted their lives to christ and even from the earliest moments while that child is in the womb they are singing the songs of zion to it reading the word that child is going to

Have some advantages over somebody who doesn’t have that isn’t that right but it still does not constitute that child sinless why because it the genes go all the way back clear to who adam and none of us escape that okay so we were furnished with this holy nature sinless pure undefiled but

The second part of our study how did sin affect the nature of man now let’s go back there i know you you know this but you know let’s go back there to genesis 3 and look at how sin affected the nature of man right there in the garden

Before we even get put out of the garden watch what happens this is uh genesis 3 starting at verse 8 they heard the voice of the lord god walking in the garden in the cool of the day and adam and his wife did what now did they ever do that before no

It before this time it was a delight to see jesus coming to talk with them right now something has totally changed in them that caused them to want to do the opposite see before there was like a magnet jesus is here now those magnets are turned the other way

And we’re hiding from jesus amazing then it says from the presence of the lord amongst the trees of the god the lord called to adam and said unto him where art thou and he said i heard your voice in the garden and i was afraid what was he afraid of

Where did that come from where did this fear come from sin right sin had totally transformed their whole outlook towards god now totally now watch this i was afraid because i was naked lost the presence the lost the glory of god and i hid myself and he said who told you

That you were naked have you eaten up the tree where have i commanded you that you should not eat and adam said yes lord i did please forgive me that’s not what he said right he said the woman whom you gave to me to be with me she gave me of the tree

And i did it now just a little bit ago adam we’re told by inspiration was looking upon eve and because he loved her he did what he hate because he couldn’t he couldn’t imagine an existence without her so supposedly because he he loved her so greatly he was ready to share her fate

And now who knows this may have been just a hour two later would it he’s ready to throw her under the bus see get her she did it i was not responsible for this i was minding my business doing what i was supposed to do

And you god gave this woman to me see so it’s not my fault yeah it’s your fault and her fault that’s basically what he’s saying isn’t it you see what sin does how quickly the change has come remember this morning we said the principle of what selfishness is now in control

See the law of sin is in the flesh it’s all about me now sorry eve you know i mean i i felt like i loved you before but now that it’s judgment time you’re on your own see what i’m saying that’s that’s what that’s what it came down to

Now let’s see what happens with e okay lord didn’t even deal with that right there he said okay um the lord god said unto the woman what is this that you have done and the woman said lord i am so sorry please forgive me i did exactly what you said not to do

Didn’t do it same principle in her right the woman said the serpent beguiled me and i did eat in other words you know i mean you had this serpent in here i mean if he was if you didn’t allow him to be here we would be all right today it’s not me

Get the serpent he did it see and this this is see again this is now passed on to every one of us in our nature we we naturally do not want to take responsibility for our own sins right we naturally when somebody comes to reprove us for sin

We’re ready to be on the defense isn’t that right we’re ready to think of how that does not apply to me automatic the principle the law of selfishness see this is a ruling dominating force that’s now in control of the thoughts and the feelings of mommy and daddy adam and eve see

All right so when we go over to romans 7 we see paul bringing this out also in a very powerful way this chapter of course being another very controversial part of scripture what does paul actually mean what is what is he actually saying here but paul is underscoring

That we have something operating in our nature that is more powerful than your will okay in romans 7 verse 14 for we know that the law is spiritual but i am carnal sold under sin who sold him unto sin adam and eve right so we were born on a plantation brothers and sisters

We were born on the plantation we didn’t make that choice and this is why god has pitied our estate can you say amen today he knows we didn’t make this choice he knows we can’t be as it were blamed for how we came into the world we didn’t have a vote in that

Wouldn’t it have been wonderful if we could have sat back and say you know in this list of jeans i don’t think i want that one put that one to the side that one yeah i’ll take that one we didn’t have that choice did we no you got whatever

Came from the genetic code of your mother and your father period and who knows what is upline from that tree see they can be things that come back your mother and father is like where did that come from you know granddaddy wasn’t like this i don’t know grandmother wasn’t like this see

Things you know they’re things we are still studying about the genetic code and discovering that that are incredible but this law of heredity it it dictates that like begets like and therefore it is just as impossible for any one of us to be born into holiness innate holiness

As it is for a shark to give birth to a giraffe it’s not going to happen like begets like it’s a law see so as paul goes on he says he he starts breaking down how it has been demonstrated that i am sold under sin 4 verse 15 that which i do

I what allow not for what i would that do i not but what i hate that do i you read the greek there that’s what i practice now just before anybody gets worried i do not believe that this is describing the victorious christian living okay so you can have a sigh of relief

Right but this is what we need to come to grips with in order to get to the other side of victoria’s christian living we first have to realize how hopeless a situation we are in so that we can be ready to be saved by the savior

He says if then i do that which i would not i consent to the law that it is good the law is not the problem is it now then it is no more i that do it but what sin that dwells in me now that kind of verse right there

Doesn’t fit into a whole lot of people’s theology it sounds like paul is abdicating all responsibility for what he’s doing he’s saying i’m not doing this sin that lives in me is doing this is that what he’s saying that’s what he’s saying isn’t it and he says it more than once

He says for i know that in me that is in my flesh dwells how many good things no good thing for to will is present with me you see the choice is here right now this is what he’s dealing with i’m choosing to do good right i’m making a decision

I’m going to do good right then he says but how to perform that which is good what can’t find it where is he looking for it in himself and that’s why he’s not finding it because it’s not here the will to do it you know he says i delight in the law of

God the law is doing its job it’s showing us man we’re in trouble it’s doing its job it’s just showing you you got mud on your face you need something to clean that but you don’t have any cleaner on you see so he says for the good that i would

I do not but the evil which i would not that i do there it is again now if i do that i would not it is no more i that do it paul’s being repetitive here that means this is something we really need to get right repetition deepens the impression

So paul’s saying it over and over again but sin that dwells in me i find then a what there’s that word a principle a law that when i would do good by choice evil is present with me so what happened here as we’re seeing here by this study of the nature

Of christ and the nature of man and how sin affected us the genetic code which started with adam and eve was corrupted does that make sense the genetic code was corrupted and therefore every person coming out from his loins would be receiving corrupted code that’s you and i isn’t that right

It’s a law this sin has been passed down by law and this is what he’s finding out this is what we need to find out for i delight in the law of god after you inward man but i see a what another law where in my members

Warring against the law of my mind and doing what else bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members see oh wretched man that i am who will deliver me from the body of this death now this is the place we have to come to

Before we can be saved we have to see i am messed up and if i’m going to be saved at all it’s got to be jesus coming in and saving me from myself see so we have to see that there’s nothing that we can fix about ourselves nothing that we can patch up

We have to be delivered from this body of death you see when he says that it’s in my members what is a member of body parts that’s literal what he’s saying that’s not just spiritual talk our brother was just mentioning this at the uh the table

You can as it were peel back the skin of your head and you will see starting from your brain what are called nerve patterns and those nerve those brain nerve patterns are the habits that have been developed in you both by inheritance and by cultivation

So we are as as you’ve all heard we are creatures of habit see so these things are written in fact when david says in psalm chapter 51 verse 5 he says i was behold i was what shapen in iniquity and in sin then my mother conceived me now that that’s con

Significant what david is saying there when he says i was shaping in iniquity david is talking there about the formative time when he was in his mother’s womb when those first two cells came together and then started multiplying that’s when the shaping took place for every one of us

And david is saying i was shaping i was formed and developed in the womb in sin it’s written in our very genetic code and this is why every single person since the beginning of the fall has sinned that’s why the bible says if any man says i have no sin

What does he say about you you’re lying truth’s not in you it’s there is a law there are laws in operation here and adam just happened to be the progenitor of the race the one who gets to pass down to every generation past the results of what he did

You see it would have worked the other way if adam had remained faithful we would have been born holy we would have been born sinless see born in harmony with the will of god by law but the law works either way see now jesus steps in this is where some people

Uh have have wondered well doesn’t jesus step in and undo everything that jesus did yes but that’s where we must make a choice see notice in i’m not going to go back there for sake of time but in john 3 jesus actually says that he

That believes not on the son of man he says he’s condemned what’s the next word already in other words your default position in adam is condemnation that’s what we read in romans 5. see so your choice not to believe in jesus and take the escape route out of your lost condition

You are thereby choosing by default to stay in adam and be condemned you’re condemned already that choice was made for you by adam thousands of years ago so you don’t have to do anything but what you naturally do to remain in condemnation but you do have to make a choice

No i’m getting off this ride i’m not going there with you satan amen you know when the when the lifeboat comes by i read this some years ago i think it was by j.h wagner and he was dealing with this very issue of how uh you know people have a hard

Time accepting that somebody else could make a decision for me like adam in the garden and he says you know if somebody pushed you into the water and you started drowning you know and then a uh lifeboat comes by to save you are you going to us

Stay there while you’re struggling to to keep from drowning and say well i i first got to find out who it is that pushed me in here and it’s i’m not responsible for this i didn’t get in here somebody else got me in here are you gonna

Go through all of that are you gonna accept the salvation that’s here to get you right you’d be crazy if you didn’t right so you know we may not be able to fully understand all of these things but the the bottom line is that jesus has made a way of escape for

Every human being on the planet every human being was represented by adam and every represent every human being was represented by the last album praise god now let’s see how much more we can cover of this going on to the the second page um in regards to how

The how sin has affected our nature uh notice in in uh counsels the teachers page 33 on the second page the transgression of god’s law brought woe and death in its train through disobedience man’s powers were perverted and selfishness took the place of love his nature became what so weakened that

It was what impossible for him to resist the power of evil impossible see now the only way it is possible for you to resist evil is by connecting with jesus christ then it is possible then sin is not excusable anymore see but we must first become aware

Of the salvation that is available to us see and that’s where you and i come in see there’s so many people out there that have no idea that the lifeboat is here to get them and jesus has sent you and i to go get them and let them know he has some salvation

For you so his nature became so weakened that it was impossible for him to resist the power of evil all right now skip down to the little statement there from education page 29 notice this one the result of the eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil

Is manifest in how many men’s experience every man’s experience there is in his nature a what bent to evil a force a what force which unaided he will have a hard time resisting he cannot resist why because this is a law a principle principles do not respect your freedom of choice

If i go on the top of this roof and decide to violate the law of gravity believing that i’m going to do it am i going to break the law or is the law going to break me yeah exactly right a force which unaided he cannot resist

All right reviewing hero 5 27 84 just before his cruel death jesus said the prince of this world comes and has nothing in me hallelujah satan could find nothing in the son of god that would enable him to gain a victory he had kept his father’s commandments and

There was no sin in him that satan could triumph over no weakness or defect that he could use to his advantage but we are what sinful by nature and we have a work to do to cleanse the soul temple of every defilement was jesus sinful by nature are you sure

Alleluia if he was sinful like us he would need a savior but jesus took sinful nature upon him but he did not become sinful by nature there’s the difference and this is where this is the the distinction we must make right now this one is not in your

Study this is signs of the times 2 13 93 when man sinned all heaven was filled with sorrow can you imagine for through yielding to temptation man became the enemy of god a partaker of the satanic nature the image of god in which he had been created was marred and distorted

The character of man was out of harmony with the character of god for through sin man became carnal and the carnal heart is enmity against god is not subject to the law of god neither indeed can be all right now on to the next page three the words this is from spaulding and

Began 209 this words flesh or fleshly lust carnal us embrace the lower what kind of nature corrupt nature the flesh of itself cannot act contrary to the will of god we are commanded to do what with the flesh crucify with the affections and lusts so it has to have the consent of your

Will now this is on the other side of the equation once we have come to christ and we’ve been made aware that he has power to deliver me from myself now i understand that this slavery this bondage that i’ve been involved in i can break this now with with god’s help

And i don’t have to be a slave to these passions anymore i don’t have to be a slave to this appetite anymore amen these are the things that we come to understand when christ comes into our lives so what is required to read what was required to redeem man from the fall

Into sin okay and in romans 4 23-5 it says now it was written for abraham it was not written excuse me for his abraham’s sake alone that it was imputed to him but for us also to whom it shall be imputed if we do what believe on him that raised up jesus our

Lord from the dead who was delivered for our offenses what part of the the work of jesus is that speaking of when he was delivered for our offenses the crucifixion this is the delivering up of himself to pay for the infinitesimal amount of sins that are represented by all of the race

Of adam he delivered himself up for our offenses what’s the next part but and also was raised again for what reason our justification see it wasn’t enough for the debt to be paid justification is where it where jesus now fixes what’s wrong with you ellen white says that justification is not a mere

Judicial act whereby he sets you free from condemnation but it is also reclaiming from sin see that’s justification by faith when we accept the work that christ has done for us he not only says i forgive you but i also give you for your sins my righteousness see what forgiveness entails

It’s not just saying okay i won’t be mad at you anymore it’s also saying i’m gonna reach into your life now and start changing what you are and making you what i am that’s god’s justification making you right praise god all right now notice i’m just going to read this

Last uh sentence of the statement from 2sp that spirit of prophecy volume 2 pages 9 and 10. this is what was required to redeem us his life jesus life was of sufficient value to rescue man from his fallen condition see an angel couldn’t do this because not only do we need to be

Forgiven but we needed somebody who who was whose life was of sufficient value that he could actually impart his life to all of us angel can’t do that because he gets his life from the same source that we get ours from and an angel’s life would not pay all of the debts

Of all of us but jesus could his life was of sufficient value to rescue us how did christ undertake now we get into just what type of nature christ took it says in john 1 14 what somebody read it for me the word was made flesh and dwelt among us

Now one thing we can we can be certain of that when the bible speaks about flesh what kind of flesh is it talking about sinless or sinful i heard both well let me ask you when adam was created in the image of god what kind of flesh did he have sin less flesh

After adam’s sin what kind of flesh did he have sinful so then when jesus comes into the world and receives flesh of man what kind of flesh did he receive sinful sinful flesh there’s only one kind of flesh now that we are on the other side of the garden of eden

Only one kind that’s why uh john says in first john chapter 4 that if if when you’re trying the spirits any spirit that confesses not that jesus is what come in the flesh single article in the flesh he’s not of god see so if you’ve got somebody preaching to

You that that jesus came and sinned less flesh what does that say about that person that’s an antichrist you’re dealing with he failed the test because jesus came in the only kind of flesh that humans have sinful flesh praise god it wouldn’t be in any test for jesus to come in sinless flesh

We don’t have that we’re not tempted adam wasn’t even tempted by sin sin less flesh right so we needed somebody to come down to our level and take our kind of equipment on you know so and then of course romans 8 3 and 4 god sending his own son in the likeness of

Sinful flesh and for sin condemn sin where and if he condemned it where it was in the flesh he condemned it praise god that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled where so you know there goes this idea that jesus fulfilled all the law so we don’t have to keep it

That’s not what he said does it yes that’s right what good would that do if jesus just did it for himself he said in john 17 i say for their sakes i sanctify myself you know that they also might be sanctified by the truth so that the

Law of righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit all right many other excellent texts here that make it very plain hebrews 2 14 to 18 for as much then as the children who are the children that’s us

All right as much as the children are partakers of flesh and blood he also himself likewise took part of the same that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death if he had sinless flesh he wouldn’t have been able to die adam would never have died if he had

Remained in sinless flesh and if he had remained faithful to god his flesh would not have become sinful flesh jesus came with sin full flesh so that he could die for us you see that to destroy him that had the power of death that is the devil did you know the devil

Had the power of death but jesus took it away from him praise the lord wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren now is this all things is there no how do i want to put this are there any any particulars in which he was not made

Like like us let’s read the next uh statement here 16 mr 182 but as christ humbled himself to to the nature of man he could be tempted he had not taken on him even the nature of the angels but humanity what read this together with me perfectly identical with our own nature except

So is there any exception except what does the word accept mean that means that that was one area that he was not taking on what we have except without the taint of sin a human body human mind with all the peculiar properties he was bone brain muscle a

Man of our flesh he was compassed with the weakness of humanity as it says later on that he was capable of yielding to temptations now james chapter 1 tells us that god cannot be tempted with evil that means impossible it’s impossible for god to be tempted with evil you cannot tempt god

To overeat you cannot tempt god to commit adultery you cannot tell none of the things that we are tempted with are a temptation for god that’s what james says so he had to come close enough to us to be able to be tempted with these things and that’s what he did see

But he did not take the taint of sin in other words he did just like we said before he did not become sinful he was not born in sin but we are born in sin you see the difference okay now i love this one it’s very short medical ministry page 181 was one

Sentence but very significant it says he took upon his what kind of nature sin less nature our sin full nature that he might know how to that are succeed so if we want to consider this is jesus he comes into the world and in his entrance or as he enters

This world what kind of nature does he have by heritage a sin less nature but he takes upon this sinless nature what our sin full nature how many natures that does that give him two you see the point so we cannot see the problem with so many of us is we are

Trying to do exactly what inspiration said not to do to present him as all together human such a one is ourselves he says it cannot be that’s right he wouldn’t be able to save us at all you know that’s right so he took upon what he already had from eternity

He didn’t get rid of that it didn’t disappear it was still there in him but he clothed it that’s another way that ellen white likes to refer to it he clothed his divinity with humanity see so it was close enough to him that he could feel the promptings of this sinful flesh

He could know what it is like notice it says so he could know how to help us aren’t you thankful for jesus he came that close so that he could literally feel in himself what it is to be tempted in your flesh what it is to feel those promptings to

To want to just lash out of somebody when they get on your nerves see all of the things he covered all the bases inspiration says hebrews 4 15 we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities hallelujah but was in all points

Tempted like as we are what a savior now here’s an interesting point as well you and i we’re born into this world we have our line of lineage our lineage and whatever is imparted to us in our particular line those are our particular temptations you have your temptations i have mine

I may have no problem with some of the areas that you have a problem with and vice versa isn’t that right and it all is determined by what came down your particular line but jesus it tells us um this is in your study as well like every child of adam

I’m not looking at it right now but it says like every child of adam jesus accepted the results of the working of the great law of heredity see but now jesus somehow this is mysterious but somehow jesus is partaking and accepting of that law of heredity i believe covered all of the lines

Not just his particular line because he had to be able to be tempted in all points like as we are see there’s another thing that only god could do only a divine being could do because he made us see he had the capacity in his soul and his being

Of being able to cover all of the lines of heredity in himself and feel the temptations that all of us feel that i may not feel or you may not feel but there’s not a one of us who will be able to say that you don’t know what

It’s like to be in my shoes jesus he covered all the bases see only a divine being could do that see this is why colossians chapter 3 believe it is says when christ who is our life shall come christ is our life he doesn’t just give you life

He is our life there’s some deep deep ones on that as well uh notice uh confrontation 78 by experiencing in himself the strength of satan’s temptation and of human sufferings and infirmities where did he experience it in himself in himself okay he had all the strength of the passion of humanity

In himself upon him uh 3sm 139 and 40 he came not to our world to give the obedience of a lesser god to a greater but as a man to obey god’s holy law and in this way he is our example so there’s only a slight difference in jesus test to our test

Jesus test was to maintain the holiness that he had from eternity the test was to to determine whether jesus would be able to resist yielding to this sinful equipment that was upon him throughout his lifetime now we on the other hand come into the world already submitted to it

By the laws of heredity we come into the world with these genetic codes already having pre-programmed you to submit to them before you even know about the gospel or you had sufficient uh development or growth to figure out right from wrong this is why children small children four you know it

You’re telling you alive where did that come from who taught them that see where did that come from yes sir you know yeah this is already hardwired into our very being you see so jesus is coming in to overcome res uh the temptation to yield to our equipment

We are coming from the state a different standpoint we are needing to overcome what we have already been subjected to do you see the difference see we’re in the pit already thanks to adam we need a strong hand to reach down and pull us out he couldn’t save us if he got already

All the way down in the pit but he came close enough so that he could experience what we experience and overcome on our behalf all right now let’s skip on to uh page five um just a few things we’ll notice here in in uh section 5 to what extent did

Christ identify with fallen humanity it says in 5 bc 1080 satan assailed christ through every conceivable form of temptation now just conceive in your mind of the types of temptations you know some some people wonder did jesus ever have to deal with this or did jesus ever have to deal with that

What did god say he covered all the bases every conceivable okay now this is this next one you might want to put a asterisk beside this because it is not a published statement you have to get this from the from the uh archives but it’s interesting what it says coming

As he did as a man to meet and be subjected with all the evil tendencies to which man is heir notice what we just mentioned how we all receive a heritage of sin that is particular to whatever our fathers and our mothers and our forefathers have passed on to us

But jesus comes and gets subjected to all of those that man is heir to all right in the next statement he was dependent upon the omnipotent for his life christ did nothing that human nature may not do if it does what partakes of the divine nature that’s a good one isn’t it

That lets us know everything jesus did you can do it by god’s grace by dwelling in him by faith all right it says then the next one the humanity of christ was taxed as none of us will ever know so if you’re tempted to think well jesus had an advantage over me because

He was he also had a divine nature you will never know none of us will ever know just how taxing the test was for jesus jesus was if when you put everything together jesus if anything was at a disadvantage to you and to me let me give you one example when

You and i sin the bible says we have an advocate with the father jesus christ the righteous who was jesus advocate should he send who was going to come and save jesus if he sinned one time was there going to be a second chance for jesus

And we’re going to see we’re going to see i’m i’m going to hold your points because we’re going to have a time for questions and answers but i got some statements in here that answer that question powerful way in fact well i want to skip over some of these but uh notice

On page six it tells us in 21 mr 402 and 3 every step christ took was taken in full entire dependence upon god that’s what we need full and entire dependence on god because we’ve learned we’ve understood that there’s nothing in me you know jesus said when you’ve done

Everything that is commanded of you to do then this is what i want you to say we are unprofitable servants we have done what was commanded of us that’s what jesus said and i looked up that word unprofitable and it means worthless i said i had a hard time with that at

First when i read i was like wow lord you mean we we’re worthless how is it that we are to con how to say that we’re worthless servants but that’s what he said this is the this is how we are to regard ourselves when we do all that god has commanded us

When we adopt health reform when we adopt dress reform when we adopt sabbath reform when we adopt all of the reforms that god has called us to re to adopt and god does expect us to do that right we’re not in any way belittling these things because they are very necessary for your

Preparation to pass the investigative judgment amen god gave us these messages and he means business about it right so we’re not in any way belittling these things but when we’ve done all of these things we’re still to understand that they are not the bases whereby i am being allowed into the

Kingdom of heaven you see that’s not the basis what is the basis christ and his righteousness what he did you see jesus the law i think i have this one in here um anyway it tells us and this is based on galatians uh what paul says in galatians that

Cursed is every man that continueth not in all things that are written in the law to do them and then ellen white comments that the law demands of us perfect unbroken obedience throughout the entire existence of man that’s what the law demands of you now how many of us have that to offer

See not one that’s why you can never be saved based on your record it’s all by grace god has loved us and therefore he has imputed christ’s righteousness to us and credited to us so that we when we’re allowed into the kingdom of heaven we’re allowed based on the supposed fact that

You live the life that jesus did of perfect obedience from birth till death you see that that’s what it means by imputing to you is credited to your account see just as fully as it was credited to our account that we did what adam did when we had no choice in that

It is also credited to us that we did what jesus did even though we didn’t choose that either see that’s the gospel brothers and sisters and it’s incredibly good news it’s so good that people can’t blame bring themselves to believe it they think it’s too good to be true

The thought that the righteousness the perfect record of christ is credited to you and me based on no merit of ours at all it’s a precious thought see all right um okay notice this one this is also on page six 16 mr 1 82 and 3. this is this is significant

As well it says the divine nature combined with the human made him capable of yielding to satan’s temptations here the test of christ was what far greater than that of adam and eve for christ took our nature what fallen but not corrupted and would not be corrupted unless what

He received the words of satan in the place of the words of god so he took our nature fallen but not corrupted remember that very important okay all right let’s go forward in uh page seven notice i’m just picking certain things out of here i encourage you of course to

Read the whole context even beyond what i have in here of all of these statements it will be a very fruitful study for you guaranteed it says we should have no misgivings in regard to the what perfect sinlessness of the human nature of christ perfect sinlessness why because he did not once yield

To that sinful flesh only at that point would it have become his own but he never owned it it was only on him by lone you might say for a temporary period of time does jesus have sinful flesh now no he said he has a glorified body

And if we’re faithful what’s going to happen with us we’re going to have a glorified body like unto his glorified body bible says so thank god he came off victorious um okay go ahead and as i said on your time look at the rest of these we’re gonna skip forward fast forward

For sake of time um page 8 signs of times 12 9 1897 the human nature of christ was like unto ours and suffering was more keenly felt by him why for his spiritual nature was what free from every taint of sin so what part of christ’s nature was sinless spiritual nature

You know a.t jones says it this way don’t drag his mind into it see don’t drag his mind into his taking of sinful nature upon him that nature remained perfectly free from sin thank god all right then the next one youth instructor 6 2 98 in his human nature he maintained key words

Maintained the purity of his divine character see so again this underscores that jesus comes into the world with what he had from eternity he didn’t give that up he ellen white says that he didn’t go out of himself to another but he took humanity into himself and gave humanity and existence out of

Himself that’s deep 1sm 250 is where that’s found he didn’t become somebody else it was still jesus there but it says he maintained what he had by the same methods that you and i must gain what he had amen amen amen all right then um notice at the bottom of the page

21 mr page 11 christ did not need to fast for 40 days because of inward corruption or to subdue self he was sinless it was on our account that he fasted all right um now page nine top notice this one that goes together with one we just recently read signs of the

Times 1 16 96 christ did no sin neither was god found in his mouth he corrupted not human nature and though in the flesh he transgressed not the law of god in any particular the humanity of christ is called what that holy thing where did that come from

Scripture of luke chapter 3 believe it is where the angel is speaking of jesus at what stage in his life in the womb and he calls jesus what that holy thing now could any of us be referred to when we were in the womb as that holy thing that’s in your womb

That’d be blasphemy right this is jesus coming here the what inspiration has to say this whole section goes into the subject of infants and the unborn right we’re going to skip past that and on page 10 um d.a desire of ages 5 14 even the babe in

His mother’s arms may dwell as under the shadow of the almighty through the faith of the praying mother isn’t that a blessing john the baptist was filled with the holy spirit from when his birth wow if we will live in communion with god we too may expect what

The divine spirit to mold our little ones even from their earliest moments wow praise god you know so and now interestingly enough again on this point of what this constitutes ellen white says about john i believe it’s in the same book desire of ages that john had by nature the faults and weaknesses

Common to humanity but the touch of divine love had transformed him see so even though this is the same john that was filled with the holy spirit from his birth from the womb but she says that he had what faults and weaknesses common to humanity see so even this great advantage does not

Render an infant sinless see we all need to be born again amen there’s not a single person that does not need to be born again the second time and now this is another one that’s not in your study this is 2t 391 this one sentence children are born with the animal propensities

Largely developed so on the other side of the equation the parent’s own stamp of character having been given to them so if we’re not living holy lives if we’re living sinful lives what happens to our child they receive notice he says they can actually be born with animal propensities largely developed

That’s very significant now when that child is born how would you be able to tell from looking at the child that its animal propensities are largely developed the animal propensities what do you know the child needs to eat right and the answer that i believe to that is you cannot tell

You cannot tell because there’s not sufficient growth or maturity for him to manifest those animal propensities see until that takes place that’s when you will see now what why do why am i bringing this up because once again this this gets into the genetic code and the fact that while we’re being

Shapen in the womb those cells and this this is a fascinating area of study genetics the cells are loaded with information just like computer chips and when those com those cells start coming together and multiplying they are already pre-programmed with information of how to shape you

How to form you what to impart to you from your mother father grandmother grandfather and on back all of that information is already in those first two cells from the time they come together and start multiplying see and so those parents who are giving loose rain to their passions

This is the context of this statement the fact that we can be intemperate even in the marriage con marriage ban in the marriage relation isn’t that right yeah god says that we’re to be temperate in all things even in our marital privileges amen mighty quiet in all things

So she’s talking about marital excess in this very context and she says when we are out of control with our passions in the marital uh union the child is going to be endowed with animal propensities largely developed you see very important that we understand these things all right on the page 11

You in summary section number eight how can the humanity of christ be described nine be a seven bc 904 she says christ could have done nothing during his earthly ministry and saving fallen man if the divine had not been what blended with the human the limited capacity of man cannot

Define this wonderful mystery the blending of the two natures the divine and the human when will it be able to be explained never so you know we’re just scratching the surface here this this afternoon that’s about all we’ll get we’ll never be able to fully explain

But boy we sure try hard don’t we will never be able to fully explain this wonderful mystery now blending notice she’s using the term blending of the two natures when you take a blender and you put some ingredients in it put some water and you know some oats and

We’re going to make some old burgers you know well i i guess you don’t have to use a blender to make old burgers do you but uh let’s make some soy milk then you know we put some soy powder yeah smoothie you know whatever you whatever you prefer

When we put those articles in the blender before we push the button can you tell where the smoothie uh parts of the banana is and where the uh pineapple is can you can you distinguish all those things you can still distinguish all that but once you push that button what happens

You can’t tell where that banana is and where the pineapple is and where the apple is right it’s all blended up see this is what happened when jesus joined himself to this human race it’s mysteriously blended now come on sir forever brothers and sisters jesus is to be this way

He made an eternal choice for us a fundamental change in the existence of jesus has been made forever he’ll never go back to how life used to be before he left heaven all right in in section 9 there’s much more there about the mysteries and so on but in section 9

What were the risks involved in christ’s mission in human form right notice in hebrews 5 7 it says who in the days of his flesh when he had offered up prayers and supplication with strong what crying and tears unto him that was able to do what save him from death

And was heard in that he feared now it says that jesus was engaging in strong crying and tears about what being saved from death do you think this is talking about gethsemane this is not talking about gethsemane i believe this is giving us a window into what

Life was like in general for jesus because as we just alluded to a little bit ago you know we have a phrase of walking on eggshells this is this is was jesus life see we’re told by inspiration that if satan had touched the head of christ

All it would have taken would be one thought of sin and what would have happened to jesus this is it this is it probation is over and and we’ll see that in these statements that follow jesus had no second chance jesus had no backup redeemer to come and redeem him

This was the last stop not only for jesus but also for us okay 7 bc 926 he became subject to temptation what is the next word there endangering as it were his divine attributes what does that mean it means that jesus being who he was as god being kind being loving being caring

Being patient being temperate all of those divine attributes could have become just the opposite with jesus endangering who he was s t 5 10 99 for a period of time christ was what on probation are we on probation yes can we compare our probation to jesus probation no

He took humanity on himself to stand the test and trial which the first adam failed to endure had he failed in his test and trial he would have been disobedient to the voice of god and what else would have happened the world would have been lost next one

10 mr 386 to the honor and glory of god his beloved son the surety the substitute was delivered up and descended into the prison house of the grave the new tomb enclosed him in its rocky chambers if one single sin had tainted his character the stone would never have been rolled away

From the door of his rocky chamber and the world with his burden of guilt would have perished 1sm 256 page 12 could satan in the least particular least particular have tempted christ to sin he would have bruised the savior’s head as it was he could only touch his heel had the head

Of christ been touched the hope of the human race would have perished divine wrath would have come upon christ as it came upon adam christ and the church would have been without hope isn’t this something brother sis you see what was at risk with jesus every day every day was a new possibility

That he just might fail i’m serious and brothers and sisters this means that if he had failed guess what that’s right and guess what else moses elijah enoch come on back down it’s over that’s right it’s all over paul’s in collection page 400 christ has found his pearl of great price and lost

Perishing souls hallelujah he sold all that he had to come into possession even engaged to do the work and run the risk of losing his own life in the conflict and we’ll just stop there i think that’s a good place for us to pause and think diligently

On what it cost us or rather what it costs god to redeem us from sin what would cause jesus to be engaged in strong crying and tears to his father to save him from death see when we’re finding it so hard to give up those things that we love so

Much it’s because we’re not looking at this right here see when we’re told that the cup trembled in jesus hands that his father gave him the drink for us what does that mean it means that it was a struggle for him it means that it was a very real temptation for him

To let ungrateful man die for his own sins and go back to heaven it’s very real this is how serious sin is so before we entertain uh questions answers comments whatever you have let us bow together and once again ask god to help us to receive the hatred of sin

That we must have to enter the eternal kingdom of god oh lord we are humbled as we think of such a great price that was paid for our redemption we can’t understand it we cannot fathom how we are worth so much to you but lord because you have paid the price you didn’t

Draw back even though you were tempted to do so lord we it is just our reasonable service to surrender all to you it’s our reasonable service lord to do whatever you would have us to do it’s only our reasonable service lord to be perfectly obedient to all of your commandments

And lord we surrender this afternoon take us lord you know we’re powerless in and of ourselves to be perfectly obedient but lord we accept your gospel that in christ what is impossible is possible we thank you lord for this window of viewing our savior and eating his flesh and drinking his blood

May this be but the beginning of a continual feast for us of his flesh and his blood and we know lord that the more time we are spending doing this the more easier it will become for us to separate from sin the easier it will become for us to view

Sin like you view it and the more hateful sin will become in our eyes that cause this that we have read thank you father for your great salvation in jesus name amen amen praise god i saw my brother’s hand if you have any questions or comments you would like to

Make now is that opportunity um yes of the sanctuary with this rope and as i studied and studied the scriptures i never could find a rope being in the century right and this uh kind of related to that that’s what i saw when i threw up my hand i mean i saw that

And and i wanted to ask you about that expound on that could you do that for me sir right right from what uh uh from what i have found i haven’t found anything that actually corroborates that tradition now i heard brother corn say it may be in josephus writings okay

From what i understand that is just an historical um point that’s brought out by jose josephus and saying that’s what they did but it’s not it cannot be found in scripture right right okay okay anyone else pastor i had uh read in the spirit of prophecy we were sharing earlier in the beginning

And i read where it says that christ had designed us or we were designed to be the counterpart of god hallelujah he’s awesome that one word right there is very significant counterpart uh of god you know we we we are only faintly understanding our privileges as having been made in the image and

Likeness of god and you know that brings to mind um the fact that we are told that now you know ellen white says in desire of ages that uh the fact that jesus has come into the world and become one of us or be joined himself to us

He says it brings us even closer to god than we would have been had we never sinned amen you see and this is uh i i think i have this statement somewhere in my notes um yeah i can’t find it right away but nevertheless she does say

That uh we have the privilege of partaking of a nature higher than that which was forfeited by transgression see so in other words uh now that sin has come into the picture and god has put in effect the plan of redemption which was made well back in eternity past

We are now even brought to a higher plane of existence than had we never fallen because jesus is now a permanent member of our race of beings hallelujah yes my question is concerning adam and eve um we know that god cannot be tempted with sin

Right so he cannot be even moved to sin and um i know that adam and eve were created in his image when the temptation came to them was it really a okay i know eve started off because she was deceived and she fell there but with adam was he

Moved to sin or was he created in god’s image where he could not be tempted to sin or move to sin or you understand where i’m coming from maybe you may want to elaborate a little more yeah okay man was created in god’s image but man could not be moved to sin yet

Adam was moved to sin he was tempted with sin okay right so uh you know adam in other words even though he was made in god’s likeness uh nevertheless we know that uh he had obviously the ability to be tempted you know but it was not inward temptation

Because he because as we read he was made holy you know there was not an inward pull it came from without and this is why jesus temptation was far greater because it came from in and out outside with jesus anyone else um i would like to say maybe to add to that

To your question it could kind of be like lucifer how we see that he was created perfect in all his ways but yet he still entertains sin so i don’t know how to explain that that’s the mystery of iniquity but that could possibly be a factor into why adam

Agreed to sin yes yes and uh it was strictly we might say a matter of faith see uh adam and eve had never ever seen anything die and so all they had to go on is what god said now here is a totally opposite saying totally opposite talk

Who are they going to believe as all that that was the whole test who do i believe this serpent or god they chose to believe god i mean uh satan you know yes anyone else all right thank you very much jesus had no advantage over us

But the way he was different from us was that he um spiritual nature was without a taint would you consider that being what enabled him not to sin no because once again uh it was not as we read christ did not rely on his power to as god

Resists sin that would have been no contest whatsoever so the way in which christ maintained his purity was the same way in which you and i must attain purity by total dependence on god praise god amen anyone else okay would you like to do so all right let us pray

Kind heaven father we thank you the lord for this time that we have spent in your place of holiness and your presence and may the things having to follow that we have learned be rooted and grounded within us we will hold on to your unchanging hand and not fall that’s right

For this is the only way heavenly father that we will not fall amen is to be consecrated unto your will that’s right and hold on to your hand your leading your guiding through your holy spirit and may we be overcomers thank you
