Romanticizing Satan & Modern Satanism

How did we go from this   to this wow, or well at least to this. Stay tuned to find out… Hello everyone, I’m Dr Angela  Puca, and welcome to my Symposium.  I’m a Ph.D. and a university lecturer  and this is your online resource   for the academic study of magic,  witchcraft, and all things esoteric. In this video, we will talk about the  romanticising of Satan and how that evolved from

The conceptualisation of him as the arch-enemy  of God, which is – by the way – not found in the   Hebrew Bible but in the New Testament if we are to  endorse a collation between Satan and the Devil.

But this, along with the history of the worship of  Satan, may be topics for future videos. In fact,   leave me a line in the comment section and let  me know if you’d like me to cover these areas. Now we are going to discuss how Satan  became a romantic hero for poets,

Artists and how that played a role in  the rise of modern religious Satanism. My source for this video is  going to be ‘Children of Lucifer’   by Ruben van Luijk, published  by Oxford University Press.   Yet, you are welcome to recommend and pursue  the investigation of other academic sources.

As my long-time viewers know, I always  encourage your independent research   and to see my videos as appetizers  rather than “the truth” on a matter.   Research is always ongoing and it’s  more important to master the skills   to find and critically evaluate reliable  sources rather than clinging onto information as

Truth. As they might and will likely be  obsolete in 50 years, sometimes in 5 years. Right, premises out of the way!  Let’s move onto the topic now… According to Van Luijk, Satanism is an invention  of Christianity as it was within the context of

Christian religion and of a society shaped by  Christianity that the idea of Satanism first   arose. Christianity played, in fact, a central  role in the proliferation of the concept of Satan   as the Devil as well as Lucifer, lumping together  different – and diverging – adversarial roles

And depictions found across the  Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. After all, if we define Satanism as the  intentional religious veneration of Satan,   it follows that there can be  no Satanism without a Satan. Another element that played a significant role in  the conceptualisation and imagery of Satan was the

Demonising of the Pagan Gods and of their worship. The well- known image of the devil as goat-footed   and horned is reminiscent of the Greek God Pan  and of the Fauni and Silvani of the Roman forests. In other parts of Europe, the  devil has assimilated traits   of native gods from other traditions.

For instance, in a late medieval Dutch  miracle play ‘Mariken van Nieumegen’ he   appears as “One- Eyed Moenen”, quite  resembling the Nordic God Odin,   whose worship had already  been abandoned for centuries. But when and how did Satan start to be seen   as a heroic figure instead of the  embodiment of pure God-less evil?

Well, that happened after the  Enlightenment and during the Romantic era. As Van Lujik highlights, there  were two main cultural changes   that fostered a reshaped idea of Satan. And  these are: Secularisation and Revolution. The demise of the literal belief  in Satan brought about by a more

Secular society was an essential prerequisite  for the emergence of the Romantic Satan.   Those who endorsed this poetic view of the Devil  didn’t quite believe in the existence of a real   Lucifer just as they didn’t espouse  the reality of the Christian God. This transition led to abandoning the  perception that Satan constituted an

Actual threat and allowed cultural space for  re-imagining its mythic role and the possible   relatability to our human condition.  And, what appeared to be domineering   during the Romantic era if not rebellion against  the status quo, in the form of Revolutions?! As Satan’s fall started to be associated  with proud, unlawful insurrection against

Divine authority, that appeared to mirror quite  nicely that sense of popular and political   insurrection against oppressing monarchs  and the subjugating systems of government   of the time. Giving new meaning to his role in  the grand scheme of things, the Romantic Satanists

Transformed the fallen angel into a noble champion  of political and individual freedom against   a supreme power that deprives people of their  agency, leaving submission as the only option. From the nineteenth century  onwards, the romanticised perception   of Satan has been linked to three key elements:  sex and sexual liberation, science and reason,

Individual freedom and agency. These elements,  perceived as adversarial stances to the   Christianity morality, have fostered the birth  of both the atheistic and theistic Satanisms.   Satan, in his aspect of Lucifer the light- bringer  now works against the dogmatism of religion

And, as a fallen one, he got associated with  Earth, nature, and “the flesh,” particularly   in its manifestations of passionate love and sex.  This sexually charged representation was informed   by the Book of the Watchers in First Enoch,  which embeds the Lust of Fallen Angels

For the daughters of men in its narrative. Van  Luijk argues that there are three crucial ways   in which Romantic Satanism contributed to  the late rise of modern religious Satanism. 1. For once, they mark the first historical  appearance in Western civilization   of an influential cultural current  that positively revaluated Satan.

2. Second, they show a new, post-Christian,  and post-Enlightenment way of dealing with myth   and meaning. This allowed for a resurrection  and reconstruction of Satan as a cosmic symbol   with which modern people could  sympathize and even identify. 3. Third, romantic Satanism exerted a  decisive influence on the shape of the

Rehabilitated Satan that would continue to haunt   nineteenth-century counter-culture and  eventually emerge in modern religious Satanism. So, this is it for today’s video. Satan’s Strategies Against You | How to Recognize and Respond | Satan’s 9 Secret Strategies

Foreign today it is easy to be caught up in the  materialistic things that we see and want it is   easy to be pulled away from God because of the  desires of the flesh Satan is always there waiting

For us to fall into a strap he is constantly  seeking ways to destroy our relationship with God   here are some of Satan’s strategies that he uses  against us 1. Satan lies he is the original liar

And is known as the father of Lies John chapter  8 verse 44 from the King James Bible tells us   when he speaketh a lie he speaketh of his  own for he is a liar and the father of it

When Satan makes his first appearance in the  Bible it is in the Book of Genesis chapter 3.   and the first words that come out of his  mouth cast out on the truthfulness of   God’s words yea hath God said ye shall  not eat of every tree of the garden

The second words that came out  of his mouth were yet another lie   you shall not surely die Jesus said that Satan  Abode not in the truth because there is no truth   in him when he speaketh a lie he speaketh of  his own for he is a liar and the father of it

We are dealing with the true nature of lying and  deception during the confrontation that took place   in the wilderness Satan used the truth of God for  reasons that were not meant to bring glory to God

Yes God can turn stones into bread in the same  way that Jesus would later turn water into wine   yes God is able to command the angels to catch  Jesus if he were falling just as when Jesus was   arrested Jesus claimed that he could summon  more than 12 Legions of angels if necessary

And yes Jesus’s Destiny was to One Day become  a king Revelations chapter 19 verse 16 says   and he hath on his vesture an honest eye  a name Rin king of kings and Lord of lords   therefore everything the same used to tempt  Jesus was not only valid but also the truth

But the truth was being  used in an incorrect context   the truth in the wrong hands is just  as harmful as error in the right hands   2. same disguises himself to us Paul claims  that there are people impersonating Apostles

In second Corinthians chapter 11 verse 13 to  15. this is what Paul said for such are false   Apostles deceitful workers transforming  themselves into the Apostles of Christ   and no Marvel for seeing himself is transformed  into an angel of Light therefore it is no great

Thing if his ministers also be transformed as  the Ministers of righteousness whose end shall   be according to their works Satan has followers  who seem sincere and even profess just enough   truth to be able to join the church and then  spread what Paul terms doctrines of devils

Jesus tells us in Matthew chapter 7 verse  15. beware of false prophets which come to   you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly they are  ravening wolves Acts chapter 20 verse 30 says   also of your own self shall men arise speaking  perverse things to draw away disciples after them

Three same tempts all of us to sin he attempted  to convince Jesus in the wilderness to turn away   from the way of suffering and obedience but he  was unsuccessful he was effective in doing this   to Judas during the final hours of Jesus’s life  Paul issues the following warning to all believers

In second Corinthians chapter 11 verse 3. but I  fear lest by any means as the serpent beguiled   Eve through his subtlety so your mind should be  corrupted from the Simplicity that is in Christ   we as Believers must put on the armor of  God and read and study the Bible daily to

Grow in strength so that we don’t allow  ourselves to fall for Satan’s tactics 4. Satan blinds the minds of all unbelievers  second Corinthians chapter 4 verse 4 tells us   in whom the God of this world hath blinded  the minds of them which believe not lest the

Light of the Glorious gospel of Christ who  is the image of God should shine onto them   he therefore doesn’t only say false things  he conceals the truth he prevents us from   recognizing the gospel’s riches he allows us to  see the facts even the proofs but not the value

That is why Believers have the holy spirit to  guide them and to provide them with discernment   5. another strategy of saints is to take away  God’s word from people’s hearts in Mark Chapter

4 verses 3 to 8 Jesus tells the parable of the  four soils and it came to pass as he sowed some   fell by the wayside and the fowls of the air came  and devoured it up and some fell on Stony ground

Where it had not much Earth and immediately  it sprang up because it had no depth of Earth   but when the sun was up it was scorched  and because it had no root it withered away   and some fell among thorns and the Thorns grew  up and choked it and they yielded no fruit

And other fell on good ground and did yield  fruit that sprang up and increased and brought   forth some 30 and some 60 and some 100. Jesus  explained later that it is the word of God that

Was sown and in verse 15 Jesus says and these  are by the wayside where the word is sown but   when they have heard Satan cometh immediately and  taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts   Satan steals the word because he hates the  faith that it produces Paul says in first

Thessalonians chapter 3 verse 5. for this cause  when I could no longer forbear I sent to know   your faith lest by some means an attempt to  have tempted you and our labor be in vain   Paul clearly had a concern for the Thessalonians  Faith Paul was aware that Satan’s plan is to

Destroy the faith of those who have heard God’s  word 6. scene sometimes causes disease in people   a woman who was hunched over and unable to strain  herself was once healed by Jesus Jesus knew that   Satan was the one who made her ill in Luke  chapter 13 verses 11 through 16 we are told

And behold there was a woman which had a spirit  of infirmity 18 years and was bowed together and   could an all-wise lift up herself and when Jesus  saw her he called her to him and said unto her   woman downward loosed from thine infirmity  and he laid his hands on her and immediately

She was made straight and glorified God and the  ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation   because that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath  day and said unto the people there are six days   in which men ought to work in them therefore  come and be healed and not on the Sabbath day

The Lord then answered him and said though  hypocrite Dothan out each one of you on the   Sabbath loses ox or his ass from the stall and  lead him away to watering and ought not this   woman being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan hath  bound Lo these 18 years be loosed from the bond

On the Sabbath day Satan can bring upon illness  sometimes but God has authority over Satan Satan   is on a leash and can only do what God allows  Peter refers to Jesus as the one who went about   doing good and healing all that were oppressed  of the devil in Acts chapter 10 verse 38.

In other words the devil frequently torments  those who were ill don’t however make the error   of claiming that the devil is to blame for all  illnesses there are also cases when the disease   is exclusively attributed to God’s design without  involving Satan for example in John chapter 9

Verse 1 to 3 we are told and as Jesus passed  by he saw a man which was blind from his birth   and his disciples asked him saying master who did  Sin this man or his parents that he was born blind

Jesus answered neither hath dismant sinned nor  his parents but that the works of God should be   made manifest in him seven is also a murderer  Jesus told the people who were against them ye   are of your father the devil and the lusts of  your father ye will do he was a murderer from

The beginning and Abode not in the truth because  there is no truth in him when he speaketh a lie   he speaketh of his own for he is a liar and the  father of it John chapter read verse 44. John said

In first John chapter 3 verse 12 notice Cain who  was of that Wicked one and slew his brother and   wherefore slew he him because his own Works were  evil and his brothers righteous Jesus told John to

Write to the church in Smyrna fear none of those  things which thou shall suffer behold the devil   shall cast some of you into prison and ye may  be tried and ye shall have tribulation 10 days

Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee  a Crown of Life Revelations chapter 2 verse 10.   Satan hates all of us and is bloodthirsty  Jesus tells us in John chapter 10 verse 10.

The thief cometh not but forth to steal and to  kill and to destroy I am come that they might   have life and that they might have it more  abundantly Satan only wants to destroy us   eight does everything he can to stop missionaries  and believers in first Thessalonians chapter 2

Verse 17 to 18 Paul describes how his plans were  blocked but we Brethren being taken from you for a   short time in presence not in heart endeavored the  more abundantly to see your face with great desire

Wherefore we would have come on to you even  I Paul once and again but Satan hindered us   9. Satan is the accuser of all Christians before  God in Revelation chapter 12 verse 10 it says

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven now has  come salvation and strength in the Kingdom of our   God and the power of His Christ for the accuser  of our Brethren is cast down which accused them

Before our God day and night Satan will definitely  lose but he hasn’t stopped making accusations we   must remember that God is Sovereign and Satan is  on a leash he cannot do any more than God allows

These are a few of seeing strategies against us  we must resist seeing and he will flee from us   we are told in James chapter 4 verse 7 submit  yourselves therefore to God resist the devil   and he will flee from you please remember this  one thing we as followers of Christ must prepare

Ourselves for the battles ahead because there will  be many we must arm ourselves with the word of God   we must read and study the Bible daily and put the  word of God in our hearts by memorizing scriptures

It is God who gives us strength and His holy  word is our armor if you found this video   helpful or have any questions please leave  me a comment below and may God bless you all

Satan’s LOCATION Exposed! // Fallen Angels, Nephilim & Demons Explored in Detail

In popular culture We’ve all seen countless images of the Satan and usually we see him ruling the fires of hell from the underworld We see pitchforks and horns But what is the Bible actually say about the Satan?

What does it say about his location and his tactics? What does it say about his crew the Fallen Angels and the demonic entities? Well, it’s time to explore in detail what the Bible says about all of this and more Stay tuned

Whenever one decides to grow in their knowledge of God, one of the first things we have to do is Read the Bible for ourselves You see we all have been bombarded with inaccurate and fanciful ideas when it comes to spiritual concepts For instance many of us grew up with this idea that God

Is some giant with a long beard who sits on a cloud somewhere and Such ideas make it harder to believe in God but when you actually read the Bible for yourself, we see that it says God is spirit Which is actually a very practical

Concept many of us grew up with the idea that Satan is a red horned figure who lives underground But when you read the Bible, we are shown what and where? Satan really is And when you get deep into it again, you will find a very practical concept Now

Many of you have seen our previous episode which tells the story of this gangster who goes to hell and In that presentation it shows this image of Satan with horns, and it seems as if he is the ruler of hell

And so here I just want to make the point that the imagery there is not to be taken literally as how Satan actually works because this portion of that episode is Symbolic to show how Satan is largely responsible for those who end up in Hell

So in that episode the images are mostly figurative and often symbolic however in our most recent episode Where we expose one of Satan’s lies the imagery there Can be taken as more likely how Satan works and where he is

So is Satan ruling hell from under the ground well, let’s just jump right into what the Bible says So here Ephesians 6:12 Paul is writing to the effusion church and look what he says about Satan and the forces of darkness

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the authorities the cosmic powers over this present darkness Against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places So here Paul and he’s writing to believers he says we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood meaning humans

He’s saying that our main enemy Satan is rare in the heavenly places We wrestle against the authorities the cosmic powers who ruled the kingdom of darkness the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places Now when we look at the Greek word for heavenly places here score tools

We end up finding the Greek word heavenly places and that is the Greek word at peroneus an Immigrant is is often used to translate the heavenly in heaven Celestial basically something that is existing in the heavens. And so let’s go a little bit deeper than that

By clicking here to see how heaven in the Bible is described and the Greek word of course there shows that heaven in the New Testament refers to what in The air the heavens really in the skies The universe the aerial skies or the universe. So here we see that Paul identifies

The location of Satan the forces of darkness the Satan am not underground Ruling but actually ruling we’re in the heavenly places, which we have just seen in the Greek refers to the universe the skies the airs Basically above us not below and if you study and research the ancient Israelite tradition

You’ll find numerous writings that – the Satan and the forces of darkness existing in the heavens or in the celestial regions in fact according to Israelite tradition there was once a time when Satan and the angels who he convinced to turn against God were banished from God’s presence

And when those rogue angels left the high heaven where God was They weren’t immediately thrown into hell No, they were actually allowed to roam around the universe to roam around the heavens with Satan Interestingly the book of Jude in the New Testament

Actually quotes from an ancient Israelite document. That was well known around the time of Jesus the Book of Enoch Many of you are well familiar with the Book of Enoch And so I’m sure you probably know that most Christian scholars don’t really view it as Scripture

But do recognize it as an ancient Israelite historical document that highlights what many ancient Israelites believed and In the Book of Enoch, there are quite a few interesting narratives They’re one of those narratives tells the story of how many years ago long long time ago

The group of angels who chose to side with Satan Committed a great sin These fallen angels were known as the Watchers and one thing that they watched were How pretty women were on earth in fact some of these Watchers or fallen angels? Decided to marry and even mate with human women

Which was a great great sin in the eyes of God and according to this narrative Whenever an angelic being and a human mate and produce a child the result will be a Nephilim What is a Nephilim a creature that was never supposed to exist a

Diabolical integration of the angelic with human flesh a walking abomination Now this could all just be a great story and very creative however Genesis 6 Says this look what it says in Genesis chapter 6 it shows us one of the main reasons why God sent the flood upon the earth

So here says that when human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them the sons of God saw That the daughters of humans Were beautiful and they married any of them as they chose

Then the Lord said my spirit would not contend or would not remain in humans forever for they are mortal in their days would be 120 years The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also afterward when the sons of God

Went to the daughters of humans and had children by them and They were the heroes of old men ever known So here we see in this story is talking about what happened, right? Leading up to the flood and it’s showing that the sons of God here

Saw the daughters of human beings and they were attracted to them and they decided to marry them and they had children by the daughters of humans and the product of that were these Nephilim and then here says that they were

The heroes who was it referring to most scholars would say that this is referring to the Nephilim back in those days were the heroes They were great great creatures of strength You see in verse 6 it says that this really disturbed God and it says that the Lord

Regretted that he had even made human beings on the earth His heart was deeply troubled but we know that God Did find favor with Noah and his family and so therefore Noah and his family were saved and the ark God then sent the flood and

Basically wiped out all of humanity and these Nephilim creatures Which in his eyes were just a huge abomination. They were never ever supposed to exist So ultimately we see here that one of the reasons why the flood came is because the sons of God impregnated humans and produced these hybrid Nephilim creatures

Now just like any biblical passage, there’s always going to be various interpretations Some scholars say that the sons of God here may refer to a different race of humans however, it seems that the majority of modern scholars and more importantly ancient scholars view the sons of God here as referring to angelic beings

Why is that? Well remember the story of Job? Job was a righteous, man and He had favor with God and so Satan wanted to test job’s faith and harm him But in order for Satan to do that, he had to first ask God for permission

Look at how it reads job 1:6 it says that the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan came with them So here in this scene we see that the angels they came before God and

Satan also came with them and then began to ask God if he could attack job so the interesting thing here is that these angelic beings are being referred to as the sons of God and so that’s one reason why some scholars would say that the sons of God in Genesis 6 refers to

Angelic spiritual beings and specifically in Genesis 6 the Fallen Angels who chose to follow Satan now again according to ancient Jewish literature found among the Dead Sea Scrolls such as the Book of Enoch the Fallen Angels who chose to impregnate human women were immediately

Punished by God and were chained and placed in prison in the darkest region of Hell for doing that and They were placed in a region of hell called Tartarus and so it’s quite an interesting narrative And so the question we have to ask ourselves is is there anything in the Bible that says?

That the angels who sinned with these women were chained up and placed in Tartarus Is there anything in the Bible that mentions that? Well, actually the Apostle Peter alludes to something similar in one of his letters Look at how it reads in

2nd Peter 2:4. So here Peter is talking about the judgment of God and and here he says regarding the angels He says God did not spare the Angels when they sinned but sent them to hell Putting them in chains of Darkness to be held For judgment, but said them to hell now

I always say that whenever you come across the word Hell in either the New Testament or the Old Testament because of modern translations you really have to Investigate the Greek and Hebrew word that was translated into the English word

Hell and one of the reasons is because the word hell is translated from many different words in the New Testament It’s translated from the word Hades Sometimes you’ll see the word hell translate it from the word Gehenna Sometimes it is translated from the word Totaro and these are three different things

And so we want to look here to see what is the greek word behind this translation of hell and to do so We’re just gonna go to tools’ here and we see that it says that if God did not spare the Angels when they sinned but cast them into hell and

The greek word used there is Tatar Oh, what is to taro the deepest abyss of hell to taro? refers to The deepest abyss of Hades of Hades in the Greek it is often referred to as the abode of the wicked dead and so

Being the deepest abyss of Hades we see that to taro is not just haiti’s it’s not just hell – taro is the darkest Probably the most painful region of hades, and that’s where the angels who sinned Were chained and sent to the greek word?

To Taurus hell therefore Judgment Day so pretty pretty scary stuff and So when it says that they were placed there to await Judgment Day in Chains some scholars note that perhaps the great sin that they committed was when they saw the daughters of humans and Married them and then produced these Nephilim and

So those who have a literal reading of the Genesis 6 account? Will likely say that yes Some of these fallen angels committed a sin that allow them to be placed in Chains of darkness until Judgment Day but

What about the other fallen angels who are not locked up in Tartarus? Where are they at? we know that Satan is not locked up yet because we know that he and his crew were still able to Approach God and ask God for permission to attack Jobe

Satan was seen in the heavens with the sons of God and that was after the Genesis 6 account so it seems as if Satan and his crew are still around Now one could say and some do say this one could say that perhaps when Jesus ascended to heaven

Satan was then locked away and Chained up at that point some have made that point and I understand that However, you still do have theologians who would counter that and argue that well even after Christ ascended The Apostle Paul still said that Satan and the powers of darkness are aware in heavenly places

And so seemingly even after the Ascension of Christ Paul is saying that we still war against cosmic powers and high places in the heavenlies that seems to indicate that Satan and his crew have not yet been locked up in Chains in the abyss

In fact, I just thought of something we know that during the thousand-year reign that’s when Satan is locked up into the abyss is likely that then he will be locked up into the same abyss that the Fallen Angels were locked into for sinning with women. Just thought of that

But anyways, so it seems that he is not locked up yet, right, so Is there anything else in the Bible that talks about if Satan is locked up yet or if he’s still out there roaming around well John in the book of Revelation he seems to indicate that

Satan and his fallen angels are roaming in the universe He seems to kind of indicate that and he kind of alludes to such an idea in Revelation 12 In the book of Revelation chapter 12 it describes a battle that will take place between the good and evil angels and in this battle

Satan will end up losing his place in heaven or in the universe and will eventually be thrown down to the earth Look at what it reads in? Revelation 12 7 then war broke out in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the Dragon and the dragon and his angels fought back

So here we see that Satan and his fallen angel crew Were strong enough to even fight Michael the Archangel and the good angels, but they were not strong enough Liquid it reads in the next verse But he was not strong enough and they lost their place in heaven

First not and then the great dragon was hurled down that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan who leads a whole world astray? He was hurled to the earth and his angels with him And as you read along here, you will see that after he is hurled to the earth

Then it talks about how the Antichrist will begin to rule with the help of Satan the Beast will then rise and so it’s very very interesting Passage here. Of course, that’s with our passages There are made different interpretations and scholarly opinions on it

Some people believe that this battle between the Angels of Light and the angels of darkness has already happened Some people believe it happened very recently But again, you do have scholars who say that it hasn’t happened yet

Because we’d see in the passage that after Satan is defeated in this battle against the angels of light and after Satan is thrown to the earth and loses his place in the heavenly realms that then the Anti Christ rises and so by that logic

I do understand how some can argue that it seems as if this battle is something that will happen in the near future right before the Anti Christ starts to rule and That might be a reason why it says that once Satan is thrown to the earth It says he is filled with fury

Because he knows his time is short And so this verse seems to indicate that the moment he is thrown down to the earth realm that that will be in the end times because as it says that his time is short and then soon after that we see the

Rising of the beast and the Antichrist and so what are your views on that? You know, do you see? Revelation 12 the angelic battle there as a future event, or maybe you see it as symbolic, you know So there there are many perspectives with that

But again, it does fit into the argument showing that Satan is not Underground the fallen angels are not underground. They are and always have been Roaming the heavens roaming the universe This makes things a little bit more serious because this means that we live in a world that is

Currently under the control of satanic forces and Angelic beings who are above us and if that is the case That gives us a huge clue into how Satan operates You see it is not Coincidence that we live in a world that looks at Satan as some type of preacher

Underground that’s what he wants us to believe that is part of the deception You see as long as we are Looking down We will fail to look up he doesn’t want us to look up because if we glanced towards the sky, what will we see? air the atmosphere

Well, why is that important oh it’s vitally important you see in the air what is traveling Radio waves television signals communication devices the entertainment networks every day Millions of invisible signals are traveling all around us the air and the Atmosphere is the highway of our technological world and who controls that highway?

Well, it’s like what the Bible says in Ephesians 2:1 and as for you you were dead in your transgressions and sins in which you used to live when you follow the ways of this world and the ruler of the kingdom of the air

The spirit who has not work and those who are disobedient Here clearly it shows that Satan is The ruler of the kingdom of the air and the King James Version says that Satan is the Prince of the power of the air My friends whoever controls the airwaves controls the radio waves

The TV signals the communication channels as long as Satan is above us it is easy And practical to understand why his influence is so strong in our world He is in control of the media And not only that but did you know that we now have technology that can transmit ideas

And emotions into individuals based upon the signals that we transmit to them through the air, so If we as humans have reached a point in our mechanical achievement that we can do such things How much more could Satan in his fallen angels with far more advanced technology do the same?

Now we clearly see how the Satan influences our world and so I would argue that even While he is in his remote Location he can still easily Remotely control much of what’s going on in our world? Now I know some of you have some ideas about

The type of technology that is now existing and possibly the type of technology that Satan may have his disposal So, you know, if you are one who has done extensive research on this, please share in the comments your findings as well now as you could imagine with any discussion of

Satan and fallen angels Existing and seemingly being able to roam around the universe this will inevitably bring up a big question an AOC Network is far from a conspiracy channel, but the question can’t really be avoided What about all of the identified sightings of objects that people? Report are they all fabricated?

Or is it possible that some of these? sightings are manifestations of fallen angels Alone in the universe UFO in the form of a bright light is seen descending over the Dome of the rock in Jerusalem The video is said to be taken over the weekend another video from a different angle Whoa, maaaah

Three more US senators received a classified briefing about UFOs at the Pentagon may have heard the pilots and other military personnel been reporting these these kinds of sightings for years a couple weeks ago the Department of Defense even released footage shot by a Navy Super Hornet pilot, Senator Mark Warner

Who is the vice chair of the Intelligence Committee said look, I think it’s important. He told us just this afternoon I think it’s important that the military is taking this more seriously now than they did in the past

So what are they taking seriously those videos you were talking about where these pilots were describing seeing these things up to? 30,000 feet in the air flying at extraordinary speeds hypersonic well over the speed of sound changing direction in the most astonishing ways and

Seemingly defying the laws of physics. I know you think that the government didn’t take the threat seriously enough So let me just ask you point-blank the question. Do you believe that that life from somewhere else while you ran this program? Came here visited it observed. I

Will tell you unequivocally that that through the observation scientific methodologies that were applied to to look at this phenomena that these Aircraft we’ll call them, aircraft are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the u.s Inventory nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of

So I know you’re using your being clear, but I mean the answer is yes My personal I can’t speak on behalf of the government obviously, I’m not in the US government anymore My personal belief is that there is very compelling evidence that we we may not be alone whatever that means

Now if we are going to talk about this We must first consider something very very important We must consider what exactly fallen angels are we know that fallen angels were at one point angelic beings who were on God’s side and scripture shows that angelic beings have a special type of body a

Spiritual body what is a spiritual body a Spiritual body is a type of body that cannot only exist in the physical world But can also interact with the spiritual world

We talked about this in the how you will look in heaven episode and in that episode we explored the scriptures that speak on how Jesus was resurrected in the spiritual body that one day we all will have and that same body is very similar to the type of bodies that

Angels have it’s a body that Can literally exist in two different realms at once? basically this type of body Could go through physical Objects and then become physical again when Jesus was resurrected he was able to do this at one point

He walked through a locked door and then occupied physical space again and Ate fish and he was not hindered by anything. He was not hindered by space or time. And so the spiritual body is incredible and so the question that we really have to ponder at this point is

Do fallen angels still have that? Spiritual body that angels possess or were they stripped of that body after they left God hmm something to think about Share in the comments what you think about that? I do think that you could make the argument That when those angels chose to leave God

Maybe they lost some of their power and beauty in fact There are many who argue that evil possess to them and that they changed somehow To something much more sinister And so yes, you could make that argument But I would still say that I lean towards fallen angels not just being spirits

But still having a spiritual body in some capacity and one reason for that leaning is because in Revelation 12 it says that they were in a battle with the holy angels They lost eventually but they were still able to put up a fight

And so that indicates that they still must have some type of a supernatural body to even be able to Go to war with God’s angels of light now What about demons often people do confuse fallen angels for demons? And that’s understandable I mean

We don’t really talk about this sort of thing in this level of detail in our churches very often Which is why we’re doing it now but actually fallen angels are very different from demons demons are only described in the Bible as evil spirits No, where are they shown to be physical creatures?

They are always described as spirits who really aren’t even that powerful in fact They are often always shown to be looking for someone to possess because they are just spirits who don’t really have power in fact

That’s why they are always trying to possess humans because they need a human body in order to function and Operate in the physical world again and so demons are they just spirits? They they can’t really manipulate physical things without a host

So they really aren’t that powerful and they definitely couldn’t fight with angels. They are just spirits. So Where do demons come from? Well again if you look into ancient Israelite theology the primary idea of where demons come from is the aftermath of the flood

Remember the the Nephilim well many scholars argue that it is likely that when the flood killed those Hybrid creatures their spirits are now. What roam the earth as demons and Of course There are many ancient Israelite writings and there see squirrel documents that refer to this

Such as the Book of Enoch the book of Jubilees and so, you know It gets pretty interesting and it is an important study because if demons are just the spirits of Nephilim We can see why if there are Unidentified objects above us. It is most likely that they aren’t demons

But actually fallen angels Because fallen angels have that angelic body and the angelic body is really described as an interdimensional type of existence for example if you had an interdimensional body you would not have to even travel at light speed to get to a far place in the universe if you had an

Interdimensional body you would be able to move in and out of dimensions and even through portals to traverse the universe and even beyond and So it’s really above our level of understanding I mean we are really talking highly advanced angelic stuff here

But nevertheless it is great to research and as always, you know, we are interested in your thoughts on this So please share in the comments. Do you think that it is likely that? these sightings are actually fallen angels making appearances and

Moving around to observe and to manipulate our world or do you think it’s something else, you know, so something to think about Now I know Someone out there is thinking wait a second. Wait a second Do you mean to tell me that there are evil beings out there flying around who may have?

Advanced technology and power and they are roaming above us. What’s to stop them from coming down and hurting me or doing something else Well good question, but you know what’s holding them back? The power of God Let’s back up for a second. You remember Jobe? he was a friend of God and

Satan and his fallen angels They wanted to hurt Jobe and even though they were more advanced than job They could not harm a hair on his head until Satan first asked God for permission That is HUGE This means that Satan does not have ultimate autonomy. He can’t just do what he wants

He can only do what God allows him to do And if God allows him to do something, it’s always for an infinitely wise purpose that goes beyond our present understanding Now a job was just a friend of God and the Satan had to ask for permission to harm him but you

You are a blood-bought child of God So listen when you understand who you are in Christ, you start to realize why a Fallen angel does not want to come to your house Listen some of you out there Need to start realizing that you have authority in Christ

First of all, you have power in the name of Jesus out of my house and stay away from my family And second of all God’s angels watch over you did you know that read X 1215 Hebrews 13:2 Matthew 18 10

You have angels who watch over you and when you use the name of Jesus They are dispatched You thought this video was just going to talk about fallen angels and Satan No, this episode is not only to expose their location, but also to expose their weakness

When you are a child of God, there is not a fallen angel There is not a demon there is nothing that can come against you Some of you have been in fear, some of you have been worried about the satanic world But my friend let it not be

If you feel that a demon or an evil spirit is around you if you know Jesus It’s time to use your authority and command it to leave Get out and go to hell in the name of Jesus if you know God and have a relationship

With God my friend. The last thing a demon should do is come in your direction They fear it Paul they fear Jesus and if you know God they will fear you too. And fallen angels Will they fear the name of Jesus as well? But you know what else fallen angels fear?

Being thrown into prison like the ones who sent back in Noah’s day were They fear being thrown to the deepest abyss of hell so even a fallen angel Would not want to mess with you because the last thing you do is a mess with a child of God So basically

When your dad is the king of the universe? You can not fear So I just wanted to wrap it up with that truth because I know that this has been an interesting topic

But the most important thing that I could say about fallen angels and demons and any of that is that you have power over them all with the name of Jesus and speaking of power You don’t want to miss the next episode because we’re going to be looking at the power of the first

Christians and Just like how the Holy Spirit used them. I Believe he’s going to use you Get ready god bless

A Day in the Life of a Modern American Exorcist

There is a war that is being waged between good and evil. Faith in God will lead us in one direction, the lack of faith will lead us in another. I have seen many manifestations of evil. Exorcism is the only cure for one who is truly demonically possessed.

The Catholic Church knows that most of these claims are baloney. They cling to this because they’re afraid to give up that last vestige of the supernatural. If there’s no demons, maybe there’s no devil . And if there is no devil, maybe there’s no God. I am Father Vincent Lampert.

I’ve been a Catholic priest for the past 25 years. I was appointed by my archbishop to be the exorcist for Indianapolis. It was not a position that I sought. But in 2005, the archbishop selected me for the role. He told me that he wanted a priest who believed in the reality of evil,

But not one who would be so gullible as to believe that everybody who came to him was actually up against the forces of evil. When I was appointed, I became 1 of only 12 officially appointed exorcists in the United States That number has now grown to around 50.

Some people will dabble in things of the occult. Believing that perhaps they’re just fun and entertaining But what they may not fully realize, is that they’re dabbling with evil. and they could be opening up an entry point for evil into their lives Take this, all of you, and eat of it

For this is my body, which will be given up for you I’m the pastor here at St. Malachi parish in Brownsburg, Indiana The parish has approximately 2500 families just around 9000 parishioners. There are many people who laugh at the notion of demonic possession. or even the reality itself.

But the Catholic Church does teach that evil is a reality and it is personified in the person of the Devil. Over the years, exorcism has undergone many different transformations. Exorcism goes back even before the time of Christ. But exorcisms became truly efficacious, or real, with the coming of Christ.

The oldest formalized version of the rite of excorcism would date back to 1614. It was revised in 1999. Some of the manifestations I’ve witnessed over the years seem kind of incredible, incredulous. I think that the manifestations that one sees in movies such as The Exorcist – all that truly is possible.

Eyes rolling in the back of the head, foaming at the mouth, growling and snarling like a wild animal, strong stenches, the temperature in the room will drop, bodily contortions. I remember a person who began to levitate during an exorcism. Now these manifestations are meant to distract the exorcist.

I learned quickly that the exorcist should not focus on the manifestations of evil, but focus on the power of God that is at work. There’s an international association of exorcists. Which received official Vatican approval about 2 years ago. I am a member of that organization.

And there’s a gathering in Rome every other year. Demonic possession is extremely rare. 1 out of every 5000 people who contact me is a genuine case of demonic possession. FATHER: Hello Mary. How are you? Obviously this is a ministry that I cannot do alone,

So there is a lady that works with me. I jokingly like to refer to her as my exorcis-tant. She’s really the first line of defense. The majority of people that she talks to just need a listening ear. I can help answer any questions that you have.

MARY: Well I got a revolving list right now of some people that are local because they would be in our diocese. I have that one guy from southern Indiana that keeps calling. I dont think he remembers all the times that we’ve talked because he always acts like

No one has ever talked to me or ever tried to help me. FATHER: And that’s what gives credence to the fact that this is truly something of a mental health issue as opposed to something that’s demonic. MARY: Of course it doesn’t help too because I also was talking to another priest.

He was telling me that he doesn’t believe any of this. FATHER: Some people will accept what the church believes and teaches about the reality of evil. Some people won’t. I am Dr. Michael Shermer, publisher of Skeptic magazine, and the head of the 55000 member strong Skeptic Society. I have two graduate degrees

One in Experimental Psychology and the other in the History of Science. My speciality really is understanding belief systems how the mind works related to why we believe anything that we believe in. The investigation of exorcisms has been popular since we started the magazine really because it kinda comes and goes

Depending on what’s hot in popular culture. You know the research says 1 in 10. Americans claim that they’ve seen an exorcism. I suspect most of those are people that have seen The Exorcist or watched a documentary on TV or something like that. If you go on YouTube and just type in demon possession

There’s thousands of videos. You could spend an hour and be an expert on what they’re supposed to look like. The church has a list of criteria for what would constitute a possession. Speaking in tongues, glossolalia, is one of them. Spouting off this sort of sequence of syllables It sounds nonsensical

And then somebody interprets it. Now we know because we’ve had linguists analyze recordings of what is being said and they say this is not a language. It’s just babble. It’s lliterally a psycho-drama The music, the chanting, the dancing, the singing. It gets you caught up into it. It’s like a rave.

You feel the emotions. You feel the brain chemistry changing. The hormones pumping through your body. Contorted body postures and the writhing on the ground, the utterances. It’s just imitation. I’ve actually gone up to one of these. I could almost feel like, “Okay, here I go.” I could almost feel it coming on.

I wasn’t even a believer. This is imitation. It’s roleplaying. In addition to these exorcisms being nonsensical, from a scientific perspective. They’re also dangerous. There have been people killed. Suffocated. Tortured. It’s not a harmless exercise in entertainment. It’s potentially very dangerous. Once you start to believe something, the confirmation bias kicks in.

In which you look for confirming evidence that it’s true, and you ignore the disconfirming evidence. Everybody does it. Unfortunately, this leads to great distortions of belief. There’s no such thing as the paranormal or the supernatural. There’s just the normal, the natural, and the things we haven’t explained yet

FATHER: This is where I performed my most intense case of exorcism. It took place 5 years ago here in this convent. The items I use for exorcism. In addition in my bag, I also have the holy water that I would use. We came into the space.

The spouse who was very strong and confident in his belief The woman who was afflicted sat down here. You could smell in the air the sense of perspiration just the anxiety of what was about to take place. No sooner did the drops of water hit the head of the lady,

Then the manifestations began immediately. She exhibited vocal outbursts. Speaking in languages that she didn’t otherwise know, exhibiting strength beyond the normal capacity of a person, and also an aversion to things of a sacred nature. All this was going on while I was praying *PRAYING IN LATIN*

I commanded the demon leviathan to depart immediately. Then the demon that had been speaking in this very strong, authoritative voice began to speak like a little baby. Then looked at me and said “Hail Mary, full of grace.” and there was a shriek and all the manifestations of evil ended.

Because the presence of evil was now completely gone. FATHER: People will believe what they will. It’s not really my task to try to convince people of something. Because if you are a person of faith, you began with the premise that believing is seeing.

People that may come from more of a scientific background may begin with the premise that I have to see in order to believe.

Who is Satan? – The Devil Explained

The devil the bane of human existence. The personification of evil, appearing in some from in almost every human religion and thought. The problem of evil is a touchstone of any religion. From our direct confrontation with evil results suffering, and thus endless questions about the meaning of life.

That is why all religions have to give a proper answer regarding the origin, nature and end of evil. The general pattern in Eastern religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism is to consider evil as the effect of spiritual ignorance. But in many ancient religions, pantheistic religions and Judaeo-Christian religions evil has a face.

Anthropologists say that the story of religion starts with animism – the concept that all people, animals, plants, water, air, the world and the heaviness are all spiritual beings. Anthropologists state that this was a means for man to interpret and understand the meaning of life and the world around them.

These Ancients also often believed in evil spirts, often people who could not find rest in the afterlife spirit and that disturbing the natural order of things brought pain and was the cause of evil and pain in the world.

This system of belief still exists in some parts of the world, notably Africa, and it led naturally to the pantheism found in ancient societies like Greece and Rome. And it also led naturally to the eastern spiritualist religions as well. In eastern religions the concepts of animism lead naturally to the concept that physical

Matter was bad and the spiritual was good. In these religions pain is caused by attachment to the harsh physical world and to truly gain power and perfection is to escape physical existence. Meanwhile this animistic thought lead to the concept that beings were the cause for all the pain and destruction in the world.

In many ancient religions such as the religions of the Aztecs, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans evil was explained through the imperfections of the gods and by gods of chaos and destruction who manifested evil. In many of these ancient religions good and evil were at war with each other and this

Led to dualistic religions such as Zoroastrianism where good (Ahura Mazda) and Evil (Angra Mainyu) oppose each other. Angra Mainyu – meaning evil spirit attempts to undermine god’s creation by creating death and tempting mankind to sin. Anthropologists often state that these religions owe Zoroastrianism for the concepts of heaven

And hell and Satan, but naturally Christians, Jews and Muslims would not accept this view. This brings us to the Judeo- Christian religions Jews, Chrisitans and Muslims explain evil entering the world through the creation account but all of them view the devil very differently.

Devil comes from the Greek word diabolos, “slanderer,” or “accuser” which is a translation of the Hebrew word Satan. Judism has an unclear view of the devil and view in judism vary from just being a metaphor to being an opposer to God.

Some Jews even think of satan as being an agent of Gods or even someone who acts as a courtroom prosecutor. The word satan appears numerous times in the Hebrew bible, but often it is unclear whether it is an evil spirit or an agent of god.

Forinstance in 2 Samuel 24:1 god tells David to have a census and 1 Chronicles 21:1 says that god did it. In the book of Job Satan speaks to god concerning Job and seems to be acting as ‘devils advocate’ no pun intended.

But it is clear that satan is an evil force in other passages like 1 king 22 and in the book of samual in the from of a evil spirt harassing saul. In Christianity satan is more clearly a fallen angel and an opposer to God.

The new testament interprets passages of the old and identifies the snake in the garden as being the devil. Romans (16:20) and revelation (Rev. 12:9; 20:2). Satan acts as an antagonist to Jesus, attempting to tempt him in the wilderness and unlimitly leading to Jesus death by insiting Judis to betray him.

But in this instance satan is acting according to Gods plan possibly without knowing it. The Devil in the end times will attempt one last rebellion but will usimitly fail. The devil is sometimes called Lucifer, particularly when describing him as an angel before his

Fall, although the reference in Isaiah 14:12 to Lucifer, or the Son of the Morning, is a reference to a Babylonian king. The new testament allows for this though, as it often adds second meanings to passages outside of their original context forinstace Psalm 22 which is originally about king David,

Is interpreted to be about Jesus in the new testament. In Islam the devil is often known as Iblis. Iblis also likely comes from the same root as the word devil, but Muslim scholars often link it to an Arabic word meaning ‘without hope’.

Iblis is mentioned in the Quranic narrative about the creation of humanity. When God created Adam, he ordered the angels to prostrate themselves before him. All did, but Iblis refused and claimed to be superior to Adam out of pride.[Quran 7:12] Therefore, pride but also envy became a sign of “unbelief” in Islam.

Thereafter Iblis was condemned to hell, but God granted him a request to lead humanity astray, knowing the righteous will resist Iblis’ attempts to misguide them. To summrise devils appear in many religions in the from of evil spirits or evil in general Some religions use the devil as a metaphor for evil

Some religions believe evil is caused by the physical world and our attachment to it Judaism has varied ideas about the devil, but usually identify him as an evil spirit or a metaphor Christianity and Islam both believe that Satan is a fallen angel or angelic creature who was guilty of pride.

In Christianity the angel wanted to be as great as God In Islam the angelic Jinn wanted to be greater than man What are your thinking on the topic of satan?

Devil, Satan, Lucifer – From Evil to Hero

Hello everyone, I am Dr Angela Puca and welcome  to my Symposium. I’m a PhD and a University   Lecturer and this is your online resource for  the academic study of Magick, Esotericism,   Paganism, Shamanism, Satanism and all things  occult. I’m now at the University College, Cork

For the Conference of the European Society for  the Study of Western Esotericism which we normally   abbreviate as ESSWE Conference, that’s how we  say it among us academics. I am going to deliver   a paper on the Devil and re-interpretations  of the Devil and relation with pop culture.

I filmed the video so that you can see  it and tell me what you think about it. So now I will leave you to it and please,  as always, consider supporting my work   with a one-off PayPal donation, by joining  Memberships or my Inner Symposium on Patreon,

That is if you want me to keep this project going  and the Academic Fun going. I really appreciate   any kind of help if you have the means at all,  and otherwise liking, commenting, subscribing   and sharing the videos with your friends  is also a great way to help my project

And allow me to keep doing this  academic content on all things esoteric. Now I’m gonna leave you to my paper  and I hope you enjoy it and I hope   I wasn’t too bad at delivering it, we  will see. Future Angela will tell us.

This is past Angela, prior to the paper, by  the way, so I’m still nervous as you can tell. Hello everybody. I’m Dr Angela Puca and today  I will be talking about the Devil, the impact   of pop culture in reshaping the archetypal  adversary for contemporary magic Practitioners.   So first of all I want to set the tone  for the paper with a couple of quotes.

“Awake, Arise or be Forever Fallen.”  from paradise lost by John Milton   and “Wisest and fairest from the Angel’s  sprung, God whom fate betrayed and left unsung.” I thought that these two quotations kind of  set the tone for what we’re talking about,

Which is not as much as a hero or what  became to be seen as a hero but more like a   heroic figure with some heroic tones. First of all, let’s talk about terminology and  I want to thank, I want to give thanks to Per

Faxneld because we went to Dublin together,  we had very long conversations – he’s kind of   the expert on Satanism and also esoteric  Satanism. We had a lot of conversations,   so I just want to acknowledge his help in  getting a better understanding of the matter.

So here in this paper, I will be using the  Devil synonymously for Satan and Lucifer.   And also I’m not going to touch on theological  themes in Christianity but more in depictions   in pop culture and how that influenced esoteric  Satanism and contemporary magick Practitioners.

Also the rationale, of course, for collating  these figures is that in popular culture   and literature these figures are used as  synonymous, whereas I am, at the same time,   aware that contemporary Practitioners now have  established a distinction between Lucifer, Satan,

And the Devil. More specifically Lucifer, or  instance, in Luciferian Witchcraft, it is seen as   quite different from the Devil and from Satan.  So I acknowledge the difference but it’s not   what I’m talking about because I’m talking about  the figure of the Devil and which includes Satan

And Lucifer and this happens to be the case that  these are collated when it comes to pop culture   and also in the scholarship, in the  academic scholarship that I work with. So first let’s talk about the romanticising of  Satan. So Satan became romanticised as a figure

As Van Luijk, if I’m pronouncing it right,  explains in “Children of Lucifer.” There   have been two cultural changes that posted  a reshaped idea of Satan or indeed the Devil   during the Romanticism and that happened after  the Enlightenment with some also key changes that

Occurred in the Enlightenment, more specifically  the secularisation. And during Romanticism,   the process of secularisation that occurred during  the Enlightenment allowed for people to not see   the Devil or Satan as evil, in and of itself.  So the ontological weight of this figure was

Lessened and that allowed for, that left  enough space for people not to feel as   fearful about this figure because if you have  that a specific figure is associated with   evil incarnate and you have a process of  synchronisation that allows you not to see

That as the actual evil incarnate but more  as a symbol of evil, that allows you to   challenge that kind of symbolism because it  doesn’t feel as threatening any longer. And   also during the Romanticism, you have the famous  political revolutions and so the combination of

The process of secularisation that allowed for  the Devil to not feel as real and as scary,   along with the revolutions and the association  of the Devil with, you know, this person that has   the arch… well he moves from being the  arch-enemy of God to the person that was

Heroic enough to rebel against the  most powerful creature on the earth.   And that sort of mirrors what happened with  revolutions because a monarch could have been seen   as a sort of God and the people rebelling against  the monarch could feel a sympathy for the Devil,

In that sense, because they would be rebelling  against the main power, the dominant power. Now from the 19th century onwards. So we have  this shift during the Romanticism and thanks   to the process of secularisation during the  Enlightenment, from the 19th century onwards

The romanticised Satan has been linked to a few  different traits. So sex and sexual liberation,   which comes from the idea, from the concept  of Satan being a fallen angel which,   you know, you have the base of that in Genesis  6 and then it is expanded more in First Enoch.

Science and reason, science and reason  also become associated with the figure   of Satan and Lucifer as the bringer of  light and because it is associated with,   you know, the rebellion not only against  monarchy, in the political sense, but also   the rebellion against the hegemonic  Christianity and also individual freedom and

Agency. So then when it comes to esoteric  themed-investigations of Satan and the Devil,   we see that there has been a very interesting  influence that Satanism has played on the   left-hand path and left-hand-path traditions that  are still in the contemporary esoteric milieu.

And Granholm and Petersen highlight the main  traits of the left-hand path traditions which   are an ideology of individualism, the goal  of self-deification, the appraisal of life   in the here and now and antinomianism, which  is the rejection of social and cultural norms. Now, this re-imagined Satan  as this rebellious figure, as

Someone who is able to rebel against God and at  the same time is a link to sexual liberation and   revolution and to science and reason, these  are all elements that have fostered and we   see that with Kenneth Grant, for instance  and in Satanism but these have fostered the

Left-hand path and that’s why the left-hand-path  tradition, among other things, you also see   esoteric Satanism. And these are also elements  that you find in esoteric Satanism as well because   these are elements that are associated now with  these re-imagined perceptions of the Devil.

Now when it comes to art and pop culture  the first occurrences that we see,   where we see a re-imagined figure of the Devil,  where the Devil presents the kind of traits that I   talked about, where first of all in  “Paradise Lost” by Milton there was

Definitely a pivotal moment in literature  where we see a re-imagination of the Devil,   not as much as a hero but more as a heroic figure  and it also inspired a lot of art. So if we see

Art and pop culture on a timeline we can see that  literature comes first, in terms of depictions and   re-imaginations of the Devil as this heroic figure  that is able to rebel against the highest power   and go towards a process of self-education  or self-realization in its own terms.

Then we have depictions in art, which I’m  not really touching on. Then we have music   and then it really it arrives at Esotericism,  Western Esotericism and how these depictions   have been incorporated esoteric Satanism,  in the left-hand path and as we will see,

They are also influencing or are useful to  better understand contemporary Magick practices. Then we have, of course, there are many  many literary pieces that have this kind of   perception of Satan, you know, representing the  traits that I just showed but I just selected

Three representative ones. So we have “Paradise  Lost” which was a pivotal moment and it really   affected the perception of Satan and the Devil  from that moment onwards. Then we have the Italian   poem “Inno a Satana” by Giosue Carducci and here  Satan is depicted as Satan, reason and meaning,

Matter and spirit and you can see how this links  very well with the first positive depiction of   Lucifer in Esotericism, which is by Theosophy  and we see that first positive depiction in the   Helena Petrovna Blavatsky book ( The Secret  Doctrine) where she defines Lucifer as the

Source of light and as a source of knowledge  and a link to the achievement of gnosis. Then we have “The Hour of the Devil” by Fernando  Pessoa, the Portuguese poet and my favourite poet   and in “The Hour of the Devil,” the Devil and  Mary are going to a masquerade and the Devil

Describes himself as the king of the interstices  and of poets and of everything that is created   and is able to channel a creative force that  goes beyond what is bounded by limits. So it   gives a sense of a boundless creativity and  also of a boundless sense of self-creation.

So I think that it is a short story “The Hour  the Devil” or “The Devil’s Hour” depending on   how it’s translated in English. But  it’s really representative, I think,   of the esoteric perception that we have in  literature of the Devil in esoteric imagination.

Then we have, of course, the Rock and  Metal scene which was expanded more   earlier and especially the Black Metal scene in  Northern Europe was extremely important setting   the scene for the Devil and Satan as this figure  that presents the traits that I showed earlier. So

A sort of creative figure that rebels against  the most powerful creature and creates   his own self on his own or her own terms. So  some examples that present the elements that I   showed earlier where, you know, that is  associated with rebellion, sexual freedom,

Knowing your dark side and even humanism. You have  “Sympathy for the Devil” by the Rolling Stones   where the Devil is depicted as a man of wealth  and taste. “NIB” by Black Sabbath where Lucifer   is in love with humanity and this links well with  certain forms of Satanism like LaVeyan Satanism.

And then “Lucifer Rising” by Rob Zombie where  there is the sexual love allure that you find   linked to the figure of the Devil. And then  of course we have Marilyn Manson, you know,   the whole of Marilyn Manson in just one  song where it is connected to LaVeyan themes

Of the Devil. So you have the rebellion  against the capitalist society,   the hegemony, the Christian hegemonic  morality and the centralised state power.   So you have LaVeyan Satanism, it’s  often described as an atheistic   form of Satanism, even though the words of  LaVey there are, you know, also elements that

Could be seen as theistic and there is, of course,  Esotericism as well, part of esoteric practices. Then let’s move on to the TV shows. So this is  the image that I use for my slides and it comes

From Lucifer, the TV show Lucifer and it is based  on the DC Comics character in the Sandman series.   Lucifer in this TV show is tired of being the  Lord of Hell and he’s tired of punishing people.

So since he is bored and unhappy with his life  in Hell he abdicates his role in defiance of   his father and moves to LA where he runs his own  nightclub called Lux, which means light in Latin   and collaborates with the police department.  And it’s interesting how he’s depicted because

Basically one of the reasons why he’s able  to help the police department is because he   is able to see the deepest desire  of every person and once you know   somebody’s deepest desire then you have  a leverage on how to influence them. So here we have a depiction  of Lucifer that, in a way,

Incarnates all the elements that I said earlier.  So he’s very charming and sexual, he’s able to   influence people, know their darkest  desires, at the same time he’s independent   and he helps people. So there is also this  theme of Lucifer wanting to help humanity

Which is also another element you define in  this re-imagination of the Devil and of Satan. Now I would say that this re-imagination of the  Devil is an indicator of a general reassessment   of ethics in our society, in a society that  was prior, perhaps, to the Enlightenment and

Romanticism, was more influenced by a Christian,  dichotomous morality of good and evil. But you   don’t just see that with the figure of the Devil  and Satan but even with other ‘so-called’ evil   figures that in recent years, in recent decades  have become more nuanced. So, for instance,

You have The Good Place, this is The Good Place  this is Good Omens and here, in both cases, the   Good Place is meant to represent sort of heaven  and hell but they don’t use Christian terminology.   So they call it the Good Place and the Bad  Place. But then as you move forward there’s

Also one of the protagonists who is a moral  philosopher, a professor, so there are interesting   ethical discussions and you have this very romance  perception of the Good Place and the Bad Place. So you can see how it is not, you know, you don’t  have a perception of good and evil in such strict

Terms, not even of the so-called heaven the Good  Place or the Bad Place. In Good Omens you have   a demon and an angel, the demon is called Crowley.  And even in this case and at first, it seems like

One is evil and one is good but then the more they  progress, the more inevitably you realize that   actually the two are interspersed and intermingled  and it’s impossible to disentangle the two. And in “Vampire Diaries” and in “Buffy” you  have the demonic figures such as vampires but

In both cases, you see that they actually  have or develop a soul. So I think that   this re-imagination of the Devil, which  used to be seen as evil incarnate,   and now in pop culture is depicted more  as sort of the cool guy that allows you

To be free and to explore, you know, your  sexuality or explore your individuality beyond the   binds and the limits created by society or by a  certain dichotomous morality. You see that also,   across the board, not just with the Devil,  that’s why, perhaps analysing the Devil,

Who has been considered in the Christian dominant  ethics in western countries, certainly in Italy   and that’s where I do most of my fieldwork,  even though this is not based primarily on Italy   but you can see how that Christian dichotomous  morality is loosening up over time. So

You don’t have that very demarcated and stark  sense of good and evil any more and that,   you know that re-imagination of the Devil,  perhaps, helps us understand this change better. Now let’s see why does pop culture matter. So  pop culture matters for us scholars because it

Is a new ongoing myth-making. We see that even  with new religious movements how important it is   when it comes to TV shows and even comics, even  video games, everything plays a massive role in   how Practitioners, contemporary Practitioners  create, make meaning of their practice. Because

I would say that religion and religious practices  are ultimately about belief-making and myth-making   and meaning-making, in all these things, you  know, stories are important for human beings.   Stories have value for human beings and if you see  a story that is gripping, that you resonate with,

That will become part of the meaning-making  process and the belief-making process that   will inform your religious beliefs  and your religious worldview as well. Also, TV shows and generally pop culture, even  video games and yeah, literature can be gateways   to religious practices and beliefs. So there  are many, for instance, many Pagans that got

Interested in Heathenry or Norse Paganism thanks  to “Vikings,” the TV show because they felt it   resonated with them and they got interested in  Norse Paganism. So it can be, in a lot of cases,   a gateway to religious practices and beliefs and  so it’s important for scholars to acknowledge that

So that we can better understand how these  new religious movements that develop and how   they develop and their conception. Also,  it has a bi-directional resonance because   pop culture influences viewers or consumers of  the pop culture but at the same time, a show or

A specific pop-culture output becomes popular  only in so far as it resonates with the viewers.   So it means to respond enough to the Zeitgeist of  the time to become popular and at the same time by   becoming popular it influences people and their  beliefs and how they make meaning of the world.

Now, why is this re-imagined Devil useful and  to whom? To whom? To scholars, in this case,   this re-imagined Devil allows scholars  to better understand a few things. So   the inclusion of Lucifer, the inclusion of  Lucifer by Pagan and Magick Practitioners.

So, as I mentioned in my paper for the EASR on  Hecate there are many Magic Practitioners that   are currently working with Lucifer alongside  either Hecate or Lilith and they employ Lucifer   as… not employ, they work with Lucifer in a  duodeistic scheme that is influenced by Wicca.

So that the idea of the Goddess and the  Gods, they work with Goddess and God but   in this case, it’s Lucifer and Hecate or Lilith  – those are the most popular combinations. So it is this re-imagined Devil that allows Pagan  Study scholars and Esoteric Study scholars to

Better understand how come contemporary  Practitioners, even those that are not Satanists,   they do not define themselves as Satanists, how  come they are employing Lucifer and Hecate, for   instance, in their practice. And that is because  Lucifer is now associated, just as Hecate is,

To a darkness that allows to shed a light. So an  enlightening darkness, if that makes sense. And   also it still retains that perception of freeing  you from certain boundaries. So for some people,   it is useful, to something as it’s useful to  work with Lucifer because it allows you to detach

Yourself from a certain Christian background  that you may have been raised into. And also,   as I said my in my paper on Hecate, you know  Hecate is associated with shadow work which is   connected to Jungian interpretation and  Jungian psychological interpretations.

Also, it allows us to better understand the  endorsement of a nuanced ethics, in this case,   by Practitioners because I’m talking about how it  can be useful for scholars but as I said, I think   this is a trend that you see in the wider  culture, in wider culture but especially

Within Magick Practitioners, I would  argue. And also the emergence of   ‘hex positivity.’ I don’t know if you  guys are familiar with this term but   hex positivity is a thing and it’s going on  among the community of Magick Practitioners,

Even Thelemites and hex positivity is kind of  a response to the Wiccan ethics when it comes   to Magick. Where, you know the Wiccan ethics say  everything that you do will come back threefold   and so some Practitioners feel that we can assume,  you know, light and love and that nobody talks

About the darker aspects of Magick and so some  Practitioners have coined the term hex positivity   and they talk about it on podcasts, blogs and  their social media to mean that it is important to   acknowledge the dark side of yourself as a Magick  practitioner but also of your Magick practice.

And also the wider cultural exchange in society  that inevitably affects esoteric practices.   So I think that this is also important  to acknowledge for us scholars because   it allows us to better understand how esoteric  Practitioners make meaning of their world and how

They interpret their ethics and I think that this  re-imagined perception of the Devil, actually,   really helps and has been quite influential  for Magick Practitioners across the board. So thank you very much for your  attention and I am also on social media.

I’m on TikTok and on YouTube. So in case you want  to check out my work, which is not just about the   Devil but I’m mostly a Pagan Studies scholar, I  generally study Magick in religious practices. So thank you for your attention. [Applause]

Why did Satan quote Psalm 91 to Jesus?

If you read your whole Old Testament, you never see a demon being cast out of anyone. Ever. How in the world when Jesus shows up and he starts doing that? Did people automatically in their heads think: “Well, this is what the Messiah is supposed to do! This is a sign of Messiahship.”

Where does that come from? Psalm 91. Which, you know, in recent days, you’ve heard this quoted a lot: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty… he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge… You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,    nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness.” In the corona environment, this passage gets quoted a lot.

And unfortunately, in some cases deeply out of context to suggest that well, you know, Christians can do whatever they want here because God will protect us and we won’t get sick and. Okay, that is not what the passage is about. The passage is much cooler than that. It’s more sinister too.

Psalm 91 is a psalm that was discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls in a jar with four other Psalms that are not in the Hebrew Bible. There are extra Psalms among the dead sea scrolls, we have 150 in the Hebrew Bible,

But this one that is in the Hebrew Bible, obviously, was put in this jar with four other ones. All four of those other ones are exorcism Psalm. So well, why would they lump Psalm 91 in there? That doesn’t look like an exorcism to me,

I’m, you read the whole thing and there’s no like casting devils out or anything like that. Well, if you read it in Hebrew, and you were a literate Israelite, you would know that words like pestilence (Deber). Okay,  there’s pestilence there. Deber down here, Qeteb (destruction), “the arrow that flies by day.” Okay, right here.

This whole motif of the arrow flying by day and the tear of the night. Right here; Pahad. These are names and titles and epithets of Canaanite deities, all of them.   To an Israelite, a Canaanite deity was a demonic, a sinister and evil spirit,  you know, a power of darkness. That’s why Psalm 91 was lumped into that

Because this is a prayer of protection and thwarting of powers of darkness   in ancient Jewish thought. What else is interesting is this psalm in the Hebrew Bible,   you notice there’s no superscription. There’s a psalm of whoever. In the Septuagint, it’s a psalm of David. Okay, also in the Septuagint, there are certain different wordings,

The Septuagint would have been based on a Hebrew text. Is a translation of Hebrew, that don’t always align with a traditional Hebrew text. But in the Septuagint, where it’s a psalm of David, there are a couple of psalms that use specific words for the Psalms, and the hymns and the,

I want to use the word spell, because that’s what it means, or can mean, of David and Solomon. Okay, that in the poetry, the literature, they produced,   some of that stuff uses vocabulary that you will find in exorcistic material   in the Second Temple period. And so this answers an important question.

And here’s the question. And maybe you’ve wondered this. If you read your whole Old Testament, you never see a demon being cast out of anyone. Ever. There’s actually only two references in English Bibles to demons;   Shedim is usually translated demon, which isn’t the greatest translation,

But we’ll run with it for the sake of the illustration, Deuteronomy 32. And then there’s a Psalm.   Okay, but you never see a demon or a hostile evil spirit cast out of anyone.   How in the world, when Jesus shows up, and he starts doing that, did people

Automatically in their heads think: “well, this is what the Messiah is supposed to do! This is a sign of Messiahship.” Where does that come from? It comes from what I just described. It comes from certain Psalms   being associated with David, and a few with Solomon. In the Second Temple Period

There was the belief that David and Solomon had power over evil spirits. And so if the Messiah is a descendant, he is The David, The Son of David, he should be able to do that too.   So this is something that we wouldn’t get because we’re not living in the culture.

And we’re not familiar with how Psalm 91 in particular was viewed.   But when Jesus shows up and starts doing this, the bells and whistles are going off in people’s heads. This is an important thing he does to convince them that he’s the Messiah. And Isn’t it odd that Satan would choose Psalm 91

To quote to Jesus, in a temptation, and he quotes the part, down here, “he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.” So what’s really going on here is Satan is fishing for information.

He’s got Jesus in front of him, he knows who he is, he knows why he’s there.  His silly Kingdom of God stuff, okay. But he doesn’t know what the plan is. So he’s there to tempt Jesus. Try to shortcut the thing. And you know, the last one is the worst because it’s idolatry.

It’s just kind of a terrible attempt. But this one’s interesting because let’s say that Jesus looks at Satan and says, “Yeah, that’s a good quotation. Yep. Yep,  you know, that’s a, that’s an exorcistic psalm. And I’m the son of David,    and I’m supposed to be able to cast out demons.

And if that’s true, then the rest of the stuff in the song must be true too. So go ahead, it’ll take me up to the top here, I’m going to throw myself off.”   What happens? Okay, let’s say the angels catch him. What is Satan learned? He can’t kill him,

So we’ll take killing the Messiah off the strategy plan.   But Jesus knows, that’s exactly what needs to happen. “So I’m not going to demonstrate   anything for you. You’re not going to learn anything in this conversation.”   He just tells him that you hit the road, “you shall not put the Lord your God to the test.”

And that could be a reference to himself. But it could also be another way of saying;   “You shall not try to convince me to let God show you the hand that he’s going to play.”   He has to die. He must die. Again, it’s an interesting tit for tat conversation

between these two. And again, my take on it is that Satan actually was fishing for information. It’s not a worthless conversation. And the fact that he quotes Psalm 91 I find really interesting because of its nature. You know, the servant (Israel) out in the wilderness. I mean, let’s think of Jesus

Now as the representative of the corporate nation.   Did Israel in the Old Testament pass the test of being God’s servant? Well, yes, and no.   You know, they get to the promised land? Sure, after they fail, and then they wander   around for 40 years. So there’s that checkered past. They don’t really complete the conquest.

They ask for a king to replace God as the one who fights for them.   And then three kings later they go off and start worshipping other gods and end up in exile. So probably no, they really don’t pass the test of being God’s representative son and his servant, but Jesus does.

He passes the test. And now it’s Game on. His ministry begins.

Queen of Hell – Mother of Demons – Bride of Satan

Hey everyone, welcome to Mythology Explained.  In today’s video, we’re going to discuss Lilith,   the queen of hell, mother of  demons, angel of prosti.tution,   killer of pregnant women and infants, Adam’s first  wife, and seducer of men. We’re going to start off

By looking at a couple of allusions to her in  the Old Testament. Following that, we’re going   to look at early influences that originated in  Mesopotamia, and finally, we’re going to look at   the tide of information presented in various  works published throughout the Middle Ages. Let’s get into it.

Lilith barely features in scripture: she’s  absent from the Quran and doesn’t appear in   the New Testament; it’s only in the  Old Testament that she’s included,   and even then, her inclusion depends either  on the translation or on the interpretation.

In the Book of Genesis, which is the first book  of the Old Testament that describes the Cosmogony   (the creation of the universe) and the  anthropogony (the origination of humanity),   the creation of women is described  twice, each with different wording,

Which has led to some interesting theories and  stories that endeavor to reconcile the two. The first instance reads as follows: “So God created man in his own image,   in the image of God created he him;  male and female created he them.”

One interpretation of this passage is that  God created the first man and the first woman   simultaneously, which, by this  reckoning, places it at odds   with the second instance in which the  creation of the first woman is described. Here’s the passage that  describes the second instance:

“And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon  Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs,   and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and  the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man,

Made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones,   and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called  Woman, because she was taken out of man.” To reconcile the two accounts, one version, such  as the one given in the Alphabet of Ben Sira,

Which we’ll expand on later, explains that  the woman created at the same time as Adam   in the first passage is a different person  than Eve, the woman created from Adam’s rib   in the second passage. Moreover, this version  holds that the woman created in the first passage

Is actually Lilith, making her Adam’s first wife.   Again, we’ll cover this part of lilith’s  story in greater detail later in the video. The other mention of Lilith in the Old  Testament is given in the Book of Isaiah,   though her inclusion by name depends  on the language and the translation.

In the JPS parallel Hebrew and English version  of the Tanakh, Isaiah 34:14 reads as follows: “And the Wild-cats shall meet with the jackals,  and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; yea,   the night-monster shall repose there,  and shall find her place of rest.”

Night monster is indistinct and ambiguous, but  many other translations, either of the Tanakh or   of the Old Testament, have seen various monsters  and animals substituted in, including: Lilith,   night specter, night creature, night hag,  Lamia (a female monster of Greek origin that

Preys on children), night bird, and screech  owl. This last is especially interesting   because it parallels a detail of the Queen of the  Night plaque, which is nearly 4,000 years old,   made in ancient Babylon sometime between  1800 – 1750 BCE. It depicts a winged woman

With talons for feet standing on two lions  flanked by a perched owl on either side.   Who this figure is isn’t known for certain, but  the list of possibilities has been whittled down   to just a few candidates: Ishtar,  goddess of war and sexual love,

Ereshkigal, ruler of the underworld, or the  demon Lilitu, who became later known as Lilith. And this takes us into the part of the  video that looks at Lilith’s origins. Lilith, a female demon infamous for  preying on infants and pregnant women,

And for copulating with sleeping men, thereby  birthing a plethora of demons into the world, is   a central figure in Jewish demonology. You could  say that Lilith, as conceptualized in Jewish lore,   is but one expression of an archetype, that of  the demon who targets infants and pregnant women,

That seems to rear its head across cultures and  millenia, particularly in the near East. If this   is tracked backwards through time, it looks as  though Lilith’s origins can be connected back   to ancient Mesopotamia. She briefly  features in the Epic of Gilgamesh,

A Sumerian work, and she’s identified with Lilu  and Lilitu, respectively, male and female spirits   of ancient Babylon – both of them notorious for  attacking infants and women in labour. Another   figure who shares this MO is Lamashtu, either  a goddess or demon, who endangered women during

Childbirth and even abducted infants as they  suckled at their mother’s breast. In appearance,   she was a hideous amalgamation of many animals,  having the head of a lion, the talons of a bird   of prey, the teeth of a donkey, a body covered in  hair, blood-stained hands, and long fingers with

Long nails. Another variety of demon germane  to Lilith is the Ardat-Lili, which rendered   men impotent as a sort of revenge for itself not  being able to copulate. Sometimes women were also   targeted and rendered infertile. In appearance  it looks like a wolf with a scorpion’s tail.

Much of the best known information surrounding  Lilith comes from the Alphabet of Ben Sira,   a work thought to have been written sometime in  the Geonic period, which lasted from the late   sixth to the mid-eleventh centuries CE. The third  part describes Ben Sira recounting 22 stories to

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. One of these  gives an alternative anthropogeny. Rather than   Eve being created from one of Adam’s ribs, it  describes Lilith, not only as the first woman,   but also as being created from the earth just as  Adam was. Unfortunately, their relationship is

Characterized by acrimony and incessant fighting,  and ultimately, Lilith refuses to submit to Adam;   so she invokes God’s name and flies  away. Three angels, Senoy, Sansenoy   and Semangelof, are sent after her, and they  eventually catch up with her; but she negotiates

Her way out of the encounter, promising to be  repelled by any amulets bearing their likeness,   which is why thereafter such amulets were used to  ward her off, safeguarding those she preyed on:   pregnant women and infants. Furthermore, she also  accedes to 100 of her children perishing each day.

Here’s a quote that describes this: “He also created a woman, from the earth, as He   had created Adam himself, and called her Lilith.  Adam and Lilith immediately began to fight.   She said, ‘I will not lie below,’ and he said, ‘I  will not lie beneath you, but only on top. For you

Are fit only to be in the bottom position, while  I am to be the superior one.’ Lilith responded,   ‘We are equal to each other inasmuch as  we were both created from the earth.’   But they would not listen to one another.  When Lilith saw this, she pronounced the

Ineffable Name and flew away into the air…. The angels left God and pursued Lilith, whom   they overtook in the midst of the sea… They told  her God’s word, but she did not wish to return.   The angels said, ‘We shall drown you in the sea.’ “‘Leave me!’ she said. ‘I was created only to

Cause sickness to infants. If the infant is male,  I have dominion over him for eight days after   his birth, and if female, for twenty days.’ “When the angels heard Lilith’s words, they   insisted she go back. But she swore to them by  the name of the living and eternal God: ‘Whenever

I see you or your names or your forms in an  amulet, I will have no power over that infant.’”  In one account, after the fall of man, which  resulted in the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the

Garden of Eden, the first man and the first woman  became separated for 130 years. During that time,   Lilith returned to Adam and copulated with him in  his sleep; supposedly the son that resulted from   their coupling turned into a frog. Another  account, the one given by Rabbi Eliezer in

The Book of Adam and Eve, claims that at one time  Lilith was bearing Adam 100 children per day. The   Zohar depicts Lilith as “a hot fiery female who at  first cohabited with man”, who “flew to the cities

Of the sea coast” when Eve was created. The cabala  portrays her as the demon of Friday, who appears   as a naked woman with a snake’s tail for legs.  Another description maintains the nude upper body,   but gives her a column of fire for legs. And in  Talmudic Lore, Lilith is presented as an immortal

Demon who will continue to plague mankind until  God eradicates evil from the face of the earth. Eventually, a profusion of early traditions  coalesced, and from them emerged two predominant   activities associated with Lilith: the strangling  of newly born children and the seduction of men.

Regarding the latter, it was thought that  anytime a man woke up with wet undergarments,   made so by the nightly discharge of seed, it was  indicative of Lilith having paid them a visit   and seducing them in their sleep. And in this she  was thought so prolific that a virtually infinite

Number of demonic spawn were attributed to her,  said to be her brood – legions upon legions   sired by unwitting men as they slept. Apparently,  people were so wary of her erotic powers   that in some Jewish communities it was commonplace  for sons not to accompany their father’s as their

Bodies were laid to rest in graveyards, sparing  them the shame of bearing witness to all their   demonic half-blood siblings, those conceived when  Lilith seduced the father. Because of this, In the   Zohar as well as other sources, Lilith is known  by many colourful appellations that denigrate

For lasciviousness and wantonness. These include:  the black, the wicked, the false, and the harlot.  In Zoharaistic cabal, Lilith, along with  Eisheth Zenunim, Naamah, and Agrat bat Mahlaht,   three angels of prostitution, was one of the  consorts of Samael, a figure with many identities,

Not all of them evil, depending on the version;  among them were: the great serpent with 12 wings,   a prince of hell, and another name for Satan,  especially in Jewish lore. As conceptualised in   Kabbalism, Lilith was given preeminence, becoming  the principal and permanent partner of Samael –

Basically, in effect, crowned queen of hell. And that’s it for this video! If you enjoy the   content please LIKE the video  and SUBSCRIBE to the channel As always, leave your video suggestions down below

Are Satan Worshippers Real?

– Hail oh deathless one. Who calls me from out of the pits? – [Voiceover] You can turn back now or learn the stuff they don’t want you to know. Here are the facts. In the 1980’s and 90’s people across the united states were convinced that satan worshippers worked in secret across the country. Stealing children for dark rights. Sacrificing animals and innocents and practicing sorcery.

In what became known as, “The Satanic Panic.” Numerous people alleged that they had been ritually abused during their childhood. They claimed that hypnosis and regression therapy revealed these long suppressed memories. Yet, when authorities investigated they ultimately found no proof to back up the accusations. Today the deluge of reports is considered part of

A moral panic. Like McCarthyism or witch hunts. Many people wondered if actual theistic satan worshippers existed at all. So, are there any real devil worshippers? Here’s where it gets crazy. Yes, though perhaps not the way you’d assume. Before we find devil worshippers we have to define the devil itself.

That’s tougher than it sounds. Afterall, one religion’s god may often be another group’s satan. Consider the Yazidis ethnic group. Often called devil worshippers by the nearby Muslim majority. The Yazidis worship an angel called, “Melek Taus.” Who in their religion refused God’s command to bow to Adam.

This bears great resemblance to stories of Shatam and Muslim lore. But the Yazidis don’t consider Melek Taus an evil deity. A similar disconnect occurs between gnostics and mainstream Christians. There are generally two broad camps in the world of genuine satan worship. Symbolic and theistic. The symbolic satan worshippers

Believe in philosophical aspects of satan as a concept. Or satan as an ideology. The theistic satan worshippers believe in a supernatural entity that can interact with the mortal world. Of these theistic satanists, many follow a Lucifer erratically different from the common Christian depiction.

Not an evil force, so much as a disruptive innovative one. Are there really any theistic satanists who genuinely believe they worship an inferno evil deity? While the tales of massive satanic conspiracies don’t seem to bear any fruit. There have been isolated cases of violent criminal acts

Carried out by people claiming to worship satan. And not just any ancient past either. In 2005, Louisiana pastor Louis Lamonica turned himself into the Livingston detective, Stan Carpenter. Lamonica listed in detail, ritualized child abuse that he and other members of his congregation participated in for a number of years.

This included things like animal sacrifice, ritual masks, and dedication of a child to satan. In 2011, Moises Maraza Espinoza confessed to killing his mother as part of satanic right. And there are a number of other proving crimes involving the use of satanic symbols and purported rituals. However, these crimes are not all representative

Of the satanic community. The majority of which, is law abiding. Despite these cyclical allegations of widespread, large scale of networks of devil worshippers, there simply hasn’t been any solid universally acknowledged proof. Those who believe in the conspiracies say the powerful groups have too much control to be reported.

And they point to other supposedly buried reports of abuse. Such as the infamous Franklin Case. Instead it seems that the only individuals or groups actually doing all of those sterotypical satanic things from Hollywood horror films are isolated and quite possibly, insane. Unless of course, there’s something more to the story.

Something they don’t want you to know. – So here comes satanism. Most of us would like to write off as harmless antics by some lunatic fringe. A few years ago maybe, but not now. We have seen that satanism can be linked to child abuse and murder. It has lead seemingly normal teenagers into monstrous behavior. They preach mysticism.

Other people, however, practice evil. And that is why we brought you this report tonight.
